  • Thank you for joining the Scripture Reading on Ecclesiastes 1-4. Ecclesiastes has been another wonderful book which the Lord has used to draw me nearer to Himself. It’s a beautiful reminder to let go of the vain things of this world and cling to the Savior who is eternal and unchanging. My hope and prayer is that this will bless you as we listen to the words that the Heavenly Father has given to us. May God be with you all!

That was your purest reading yet - I really felt the Holy Spirit - not just someone reading the words from a book, but feeling them and believing in them. It flowed wonderfully. One thing I have found interesting I suggested you do scripture readings because it is hard for me to read anymore, but because of loud ringing in my ears I don't hear clearly some of the older style words from the Geneva 1599 so it is forcing me to read the parts you do and then go back and listen to you again. Not only do I get to hear a precious young lady with a soothing voice reading my Lord's Word, but I am also reading again myself. You are a gift, Ashley, thank you.

After trying everything King Solomon was left empty- he had turned away from the Lord His God! This is a testimony for us to learn from. Thank Ashley for the reading of the word of God. May the Lord bless you richly!

I so enjoyed this,! Thank you for taking the time and for sharing. As I listened, it was such a keen reminder of the vanity of this life if we do not live it for Jesus. My mom used to always quote, "Only one life, 'twill soon be past; only what's done for Christ will last." So true. May the Lord bless you richly, dear Ashley!

That is so true! I often seem to remind myself of that as everything in this world is fleeting but our Lord and Savior will always be on His throne. Ecclesiastes is definitely a book to remind us to reflect our lives. God bless you and yours as well!

Great format, Ashley! We don't know for sure how King Solomon died, if he returned to Adonai!

Ecclesiastes begins with “All is vanity” (Eccles. 1:2) and ends with the same declaration (Eccles. 12:8). The book states powerfully and repeatedly that everything is meaningless (“vanity”) without a proper focus on God. Ecclesiastes reveals the necessity of fearing God in a fallen and frequently confusing and frustrating world. Let me know your point of view about these chapters.

In John 16:23-24 geneva bible is still missing : "ask without hidden motive, be surrounded by your answer, be envelopped by what you desire, that your gladness may be full. "

Ashley and everybody have you listened to Kaylee Rogers sing Hallelujah - another moment where God is obviously present. Listen to the one on her page to give her hit points and to the original one inside Killard School auditorium. Also the Petersens doing O come, O come, Emmanuel and many more gospel songs. These folks were the reason I came back to u tube and I'm glad I did because that is when I found you. I'm just trying to share God like you do.
