I am religious, Traditional Catholic, but ssshhhuuussshhh! REM, Micheal in particular, is deeply spiritual. Just don’t tell my priest on me. He wouldn’t understand it!
Sorry, but Loves you Micheal, such an alchimy between your huge charisma, you deepest modesty, your easy going, your divine voice, your sensitivity, your sensibility, and the groupe so deeply linked that you form with your ever friends (sorry again , that's all jugements and nobody has the ability to do it) but, what you give to others is so great and deep that you must know it... you seems to be an angel coming down on earth to heal wounds... Thanks for being....
You probably haven't heard Dead Letter Office, or read the liner notes. You might assume that REM were the antithesis of classic rock and therefore shunned it altogether. They grew up steeped in that stuff. They do a cover of Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic on DLO. It sounds like you are projecting your attitudes of that period onto them, and clearly you are not of that period.
@@jupwoodify LOL….”if you grew up in the 70s, you liked Aerosmith.” Voice of Harold, “A must”. Thanks for the in-depth analysis of my age, experience, and knowledge of the band. I disagree with the video. You disagree with me. Fun.
Words can’t express what this band has meant to me over these many years. Thanks.
The truth is, seeing this recording today is the greatest and most authentic thing for me to listen to. Thanks R.E.M Hi Michael
❤️
Yes. I concur
I literally was working the front door of this event way back when. I introduced myself to Michael Stipe right before he walked in. Super nice guy.
What’s blessing for the crowd to see REM in such a small space.
They sound so fantastic live in that small room. I would have paid a fortune to have been in the front row for this
I’m not religious but….Thank God for REM !

23 years hence, they’ve stood the test of time!
Imitation of Life is a great song. R.E.M. is such an awesome band. Love the good vibes. :)
REM at the top of their game!
Very humble guys.❤❤❤
You look pretty just singing Michael..great live performance!
I really love this song. Such poetic lyrics with a multitude of meaning.
🤯 how have I missed this one…. 💥
At 41 he’s amazing, his voice is getting better
52:00 His solo reminds me a bit of Greg Sage and Bob Mould
Wow! Never seen the complete footage of this show. Thanks for uploading, amazing!
Magical. Always love to hear the Reveal songs performed live. Their last great album

Súper Bkn..!!!
20 years ago wow
@michaelestipe amo ❤️
Host is annoying a f.
REM are magnificent.
DJs are from 99X in Atlanta. Jimmy Barron, the second to speak is a tool. Great station, but not him.
Axel and Jimmy Baron were such lame "alternative radio" DJ posers - I'm so glad not to hear those doofuses on Atlanta radio anymore.
This radio DJ has really no clue about R.E.M. and what they are about. He keeps making classic rock references. Clueless and ignorant.

Btw, those are from memory…didn’t look anything up.
