For a long time I too have lived out of the dumpster. I have found a lot of canned goods that were perfectly good. I am a recycler too! I have crushed and turned in over 45,000 alu cans, 1 1/2 tons of plastic water bottles and 13,000 pounds of beer and booze bottles. Recently I found a perfectly practically new George Foreman grill. I can't list all the items I have found, the list is too long!
In a wedding, your family members throw rice at you, basically in other words to wish the couple well, and that they have a loving, healthy, strong, prosperous and successful marriage, and it's just a cultural traditional thing to do.

He has lived off his spouse for 20 yrs.both of them have been known to steal things off of others properties.their motto is "if they aren't using it then we will."they have left rentals in absoulute state of a pig pen,with taking some of the items that belonged to the rental.
I have watched this guy for some time and he is not some modern day hero for the little guy or frugal. He is cheap to the point of committing crimes. For starters, while he may be going through people's garbage that is in a dumpster, it doesn't become public domain until the container is emptied into a truck and mixed with the common refuse. He is guilty of trespassing, theft and possibly burglary seeing as it's his intention to come onto private property and take other people's property. I saw his profile on Extreme Cheapskates and he is beyond saving money, he's down right dirty and unsanitary. On that episode, he went to an ice cream store, asked for over 14 samples of different flavors then when he finished, he told the owner he was "full" and refused to pay for anything. A sample is one or two different flavors, not 14. Again, he committed a theft against a business owner and a fraud. This may also be considered a burglary. Roy Haynes is no saint or a poor man's hero. He's cheap, rude and his behavior borders on criminal. The most disgusting thing I saw this guy do was give his wife popcorn and a soft drink from containers he had dug out of the trash, rinsed out in the men's room and went to the concessions counter for a free refill. Under the law, a refill is entitled to those that have paid for the original purchase. Since he never purchased it, he was never entitled to the refill and committed a theft and a fraud. I hope that his community police department have caught up with him and is informing him of his criminal activity and/or taking enforcement action against him. Also, I hope that businesses ban him from their places of business because he can't be trusted not to defraud or steal from them.
I saw that as well his one of the worst on the show equal to that woman who uses a water bottle to do a pee and goes to the gym for a shower. She doesn't steal though that episode showed his a criminal that is definetely theft considering he never made the original purchase
Allow me to tell you about my absolute nightmare experience with Roy Haynes and his wife Lisa Haynes. These people Lisa and Roy Haynes rented my property, which is a vacation rental/short term rental and left it in absolutely filthy conditions that took my housekeeper 27 hours to clean. Yes, 27 hours of cleaning that was not a typo. They were only supposed to stay 2 months but ended up staying 5 months. I would hate to see what they would have left it like had they stayed even one day longer. Cheap is fine filthy is another. I certainly will not argue with these two being called the "Odd Couple" as that does not even begin to describe these two. We had to wash down the walls as they were covered with dog hair, dog slobber and some disgusting black sticky stuff. The disgusting black sticky stuff was also all over the lower kitchen cabinets, upholstery, etc. Items that could be laundered had to laundered at least twice to get things clean and other items just had to be thrown away. If this is how they lived I would have hated to see the conditions that their "dog rescue" was - one can only imagine! They also removed items that did not belong to them. Since they feel so entitled to "free" stuff they were shocked when I retained the damage deposit to cover the cost of cleaning their filth, the actual damages and the removal of items that did not belong to them they proceeded to leave false fake reviews of my property. I guess the lesson learned here is never let someone that lives in a dumpster stay in your accommodations. Had I only known beforehand!!
It didn't mention that Roy and Lisa run a non-profit organization called "Save Our Strays" and they have placed over 3,000 dogs and cats in homes.
