I absolutely loved the humility of Xander, no ego on display. The simplicity of the explanations will enable golfers of all ability to follow the advice in their search for improvement. Great lesson.
Hi Danny , really look forward to your tips every Saturday, Watching Xander sharing his drivers thoughts was very interesting ( left heel, left shoulder high) great 11 minute video
I started playing golf at 26 years old and was always trying to kill it. My dear friend now passed away from cancer, local golf shop who built my custom clubs due to the fact that I was 6’ 6” told me it’s not a powerful effort, It is effortless power with your size, you need to swing like an old guy like me. Life didn’t afford any time for golf for years…Now,decades later, haven’t played only 1 time since. 2015, recovering from a Tbone car crash from an idiot driver that broke my left shoulder in 2022, when I was 52, back putting chipping for rehabilitation and now I do swing like an ole man. And it’s as better as ever. Great video.
Danny, this shows how respected you are to get a major champion like Xander to come on to your channel and give his valuable advice in such a simple way. Videos like this are absolutely priceless. So many little changes can make a big difference to anyone’s game. Thank you again.
I just turned 80 a few days ago and decided to move up the the "ladies" tees, which I now have dubbed the "eighties" tees. This has allowed me the potential to reach more greens in regulation and I am enjoying the game much more. I didn't start playing golf until I was 54, so I did not have the advantage of establishing a swing in my younger years. I have been watching and learning much from Danny's videos for a few years and he has really helped my game. Two most important lessons I've learned from Danny is that the golf swing is a CIRCLE and that it is necessary to find and hit the LOW POINT of the swing in front of the ball (for all clubs except driver). The graphics in Danny's videos that show the swing arc and other helpful mechanics are invaluable to really seeing how the swing works properly. I also appreciate Danny's videos that include other golf experts such as Xander. The fact that these expert coaches and players are willing to participate in Danny's videos is a terrific testament to Danny's abilities and teaching methods. The fact that Danny now has closer to 1.5 million subscribers also reflects his enormous popularity and effectiveness as a golf coach. Congratulations to Danny on his success!
golf should be fun and you should base what tee you use on your ability. i'm 75 and still play the white tees and i've been playing for 40+ years and a 13 hdcp. I can carry a driver over 200 yds and a 7iron 140. I get a lot out of Danny Maude videos too. good golfin' to ya.
Danny. Maude continues to impress his followers with not only his advice, but to bring in a major winner showing simple tips we can use in our own games. Have been following Danny for a few years and share his videos with friends. Thank you for continuing to help us with our games.
Danny I and 69 yo and gave up golf for 10 yrs due to swing flaws. Two yrs ago I was talked into playing again. Soon after I found you online and my whole swing has now been revamped with instruction from you and your incredible guests like Xander and Pete. My ball strike, flight and short game have all improved directly from your guidance. I'm playing the best in my life and can't wait to get back on the course once again! Thank you very much. You are a clear standout videographer and teacher of the swing.
I am 70 years old and have benefitted greatly from all of the Danny Maude videos and practice plans. As usual, this video is excellent but even more so thanks to Xander Schauffele. Really enjoyed watching him and listening to his perspective. He is one of those "nice guys" on the tour that me and many of my fellow golfers root for every single week. Thanks very much, gents !!
Thanks Danny, at 77 I thought my best years were behind me but your weekly lessons always give me something to work on. Had an op for prostate cancer last year, all clear now, so looking forward to next season and getting my handicap of 16.6 down to a respectable level. Great, simple ideas from Xander. Need to get off to the range to work on them. Thanks again Danny. Happy New year
I’ve been watching and learning from you for years. I play highly competitive Amateur golf around the world and I have to say, this video with Zander and Alexander helped me a lot. It makes me focus on my set up, angle and path. Rather than target and distance. Once set up, angle and path are correct in practice….everything else is gravy. Also, when I was very young I used to pick my left heel up naturally and pound it for a little girl. Then over the years and many teachers later, it was taboo to do that. I was taught to roll the left heal to the right. In fact they would put a golf ball under my heel to keep it down. After mimicking what I just learned here in this video, I’m GOLDEN. Much more effective when I want to go for it, all of it makes sense again. Thank you Zander and Thank you Danny.
Danny, you're the only person on UA-cam that I watch for tips as a new golfer. To have Xander on your channel just cements how great of a teacher you are. Your teachings make the most sense to me, and I know there are many others that think the same. Awesome vid.
Refreshing hearing a Tour Pro being honest about his game. He knows his limitations, he admits there’s multiple other guys on the tour that can hit it further. It’s also amazing to hear how he changes his swing so much to gain more yardage off the tee. Great channel, keep up the good work.
I think I’ve been following Danny Maude and telling anyone who needed golf advise about his clear simple instruction since he had maybe 60 or 80k followers. Encouraging to see that concise clear language has grown his subscriber base so astronomically! What a bonus to have Xander on the channel!
You’re welcome , Danny. I listen to several other instructors on You-Tube but I’ve followed you since your “garden” days. Still when I have a problem you’re the first person I look to for a clear concise fix. Good to see you’re well on your way to two million subscribers. Well deserved!
Congratulations for having Xander as a guest. As a smaller player, I appreciated his tips, especially how he keeps his arms relaxed and his swing less mechanical.
Xander is possibly the most relatable golfer on the tour in my opinion. Loves to compete but also loves to clown around. He’s also not some huge guy and really knows how to maximize his body to get a great amount of power.
Xander has been one of my favorite golfers for years. Being of Japanese descent, I feel a kinship to his Japanese ancestry and was excited when he won the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics. How a person of his stature can also hit the ball as far as he does is awesome, and inspires me to work on those setup tips. Thanks Danny! 👍🏽🏌️♂️⛳️
I love the left foot lift in the backswing shown here. If any of my friends give me grief about me doing that in my own swing, i'll refer them back to this video. Thanks Xander and Danny.
Danny, you and Xander share a very important trait - you both communicate your thoughts clearly and effectively which helps all us work on improving our game and have fun with it. Thank you.
Xander's a great teacher who keeps things relatable and simple (just like Danny!). Understands his physical limitations and preferences and matches up to them. Thanks Danny for bringing this content to the channel!
I love Xander’s swing and how simple he keeps everything. Thank you Danny for having him on the video. Xander is quickly becoming one of my favorite golfers to watch
Wow! To be able to hear Xander explain his approach to driving seems to be uncomplicated and demonstrates a simple approach for application on the range and the course. His character seems genuine in this video. He's certainly one of my favorite golfers to watch and follow! Thank you both!
Great to see Xander making UA-cam content with Danny. Love it when he talks about doing the takeaway exercise purely for relaxation purposes, rather than a technical drill. Whatever little things you can do to help keep your mind and body calm are definitely worth doing. Especially when it comes time to tee it up!
I’m such a fan of Xander. He seems really genuine and the fact that he comes on UA-cam to share his tips is a testament. Love the new driver! I’m shooting for 200 yrd drives and will put his tips into play tomorrow! Thanks Danny for sharing with us!
Xander has been my professional golfer to watch because he has a closer game play to mine but I watch all of your videos so this was the perfect video for me. He makes it look so simple and easy to follow. Thank you!
After 11 months my tendinitis is healed up and this is the first video I've watched to get ready for spring. Xander's talent makes it seem so effortless and his down-to-earth personality makes it seem achievable. The "Danny / Xander" combo was a joy to watch.
I enjoyed the way Xanders explained what he was doing so practically! Danny, you helped by asking great questions at the right time! Always enjoy your videos and your teaching!!!
These ‘tips’ were so simple but completely changed the way I swing my clubs, not only driver! I saw one thing that lit up ‘transition’ for me. Thank you for sharing this and for everything else you share.
Danny, your collaboration with Xander really breaks down the driver technique in a way that makes sense for casual golfers like me. I've watched countless golf tutorials, but your straightforward delivery and focus on the essential points - especially that tension-free setup and the effortless swing concept - really clicks. As someone who isn't the tallest player, I particularly appreciate how you explain these techniques in a way that works for different body types. The way you break down those 3 key elements makes what seemed complex feel actually achievable. Your channel has become my go-to for golf improvement because you focus on practical, doable adjustments rather than overwhelming technical details. This Xander drill is another great example of making pro-level insights accessible to everyday players. Keep these gems coming! 👏🏻
I appreciate the time Xander took to fully explain his answers and allow us to understand what he was trying to explain after you’d ask each question. Keep up the good work!
Used this exact video in my monthly lesson with my Pro. We’re both huge fans of Xander, love the smoothness of his swing and have watched him become the major winning golfer his talent warrants. We’re also huge fans of you and your videos and often use the tips you provide. The lifting of the shoulder in this one really worked in the lesson and I’m waiting for a chance to try it out on the course. Keep up the great work Danny 😎
zander is my fave, and so are you Danny:). My favorite thing about this video is the humility from the both of you and willingness to share as it totally shows a true love and passion that lives in both your hearts. thank you thank you for this:)
Hi Danny, long time watcher and you have single handedly helped me get better at the game. Enjoyed this video with Xander, not just for the tips but nice to see his personality as well. You miss that when watching tournaments on TV. Keep it up!
Im 78 and still enjoying the game which I learned in my teens. Enjoying it more when I learn from one of the best players like Xander Schauffeler. His game is simple but meaningful in movements and style. Bringing him to your show enables the golfers to emulate and learn from the modern players. Thanks to both of you and your lessons.
I initially subscribed to Danny because his simple explanations during his lessons, which are spot on, made it easy for me to incorporate to my swing. Xander has that same ability to keep it simple in his tips on driving and appreciate his willingness to share his tips with the golfing public. Thanks to both Xander and Danny Maude!
Great instruction and conversation- especially for guys like me who often struggle with the first shot of the hole! A few years ago a senior member of our club suggested I join your site and I’ve really appreciated the drills .. this past October the gentleman passed away .. to this day every time I sign in for your tips I think about Irving C. And thank him and Danny!
That shoulder title versus a hip tilt on a more lateral swing for a shorter player is probably the greatest thing I have been told. Been trying to do this but seeing it on a video and how to approach that is super helpful. Xander is the best.
Loved hearing how a two major champ shares some mistakes he's made in alignment in the pre shot routine, his humility helps share tips in a way we can relate. Hearing him talk about keeping his forearms relaxed and avoiding tension is very important for us to remember towards the end of a good round where the nerves or doubts can kick in. Loved the vibe of you two guys sharing tips.
Xander is one of my favorite pro golfers whom I have followed for years. It was great watching him getting into the winner circle but more than that it is how he carries himself throughout a tournament - he doesn't get upset even after a bad shot. I watch many of your videos and when Xander popped up with you on this instructional video I just had to watch. Great job and have him back please.
As an amateur golfer who shoots in the 90s, it’s amazing to me that as I watch these videos, I realize the difference between my swing and a good golfer’s swing is only millimeters and a consistent set up. It’s also the ability to repeat that perfect swing for whatever the situation is every time. I think that’s what makes golf so difficult. It’s that even a good swing that is off by even a few millimeters is the difference between bogey or bad golf and par or good golf (putting not withstanding). Videos lessons like this make it seem possible to make those corrections and be better. Thank you, Danny for these helpful and hopeful videos!
Thank you Danny and Xander - I took up the game of golf at a late age (57) and now five years later, I watch your videos to help me mentally prepare as well as gaining tips to improve my game. I have a long way to still go, but you have helped me tremendously. Xander, I had the opportunity to watch you up close back in Jan 2020 at the Tournament of Champions. I was allowed to walk the course with you when you were paired with Patrick Reed. It was an honor back then and now to watch your driver tips is fantastic as well. Thank you both!
At 72, I am new to the game; trying to get better all the time. The information in your videos is always understandable and you break things down in a very clear manner. Thank-you!
Amazing! Love the simplicity of Xander’s explanation and the humility. Your videos are always top notch but this one’s on a different level. Brilliant, Danny.
Absolutely love it! 🎉 This is such a brilliant solution to a problem we all face as golf enthusiasts-who wouldn’t want a longer driver? Thank you again! I'm truly in need of a new driver, and the new Elyte looks phenomenal. I've worked hard to get my Callaway irons, and completing the set would be a dream come true. Thanks, Danny, for the amazing content; I’ve been following you for a while now. Greetings from a Chilean living in Germany, learning and loving this beautiful sport!
It’s cool that you got Xander, my favorite player. He has the best swing in my opinion in golf and any insight I can get into how to swing like him makes me watch. Thanks, Danny!
Xander‘s tips combined with Danny’s are like icing on the cake! I’ve managed to improve my wood swing by watching Danny’s videos and now only need to work on my Driver. These tips are so easy to follow!
Danny, your videos are always so informative. They’ve been my ‘go to’ for golf tips for a couple of years now. This video was really different, but enjoyable. It was nice to see a pro golfer talk his way through his driver set-up so simply. I can’t wait to go out and apply his tips to see if it works for me!
Great video. The temperament of Xander is so refreshing he seems so chilled and relaxed when he speaks. Kudo's to you for getting these pro's on the channel to give us wanna b's some good advice.
Great video. For someone of Xander's ability to take the time to make this video with you shows not only the person that he is, but also the quality of your channel. I am a senior golfer (78) and obviously don't have Xander's mobility, but I can incorporate his swing tips into my swing. Can't wait to get on the driving range to give it a try. Thanks Danny !!!!!
As a new player that is struggling with distance and direction with driver, it’s amazing to see how simple a pro keeps it. There’s so many videos/articles out there and it can get a bit confusing with so many different suggestions on what to work on/think about etc. Will give the simpler approach a try at the next range session and see what happens. Great video as always 👍🏼
Danny and Xander exchange was perfect. Reaffirmed for me what's working on my good drives, and pointed out a couple things to help keep me on track. I've learned so much over the last few years watching Danny's videos. Thanks!
I have watched several different videos of Xander and he’s always the same humble guy. For him to be willing to show some of his thoughts is really neat. Love the video!
Nice seeing the pros on your channel, Xander is one the best and it's fun to see their process and thoughts on getting of of the tee. You've put out some great content and I can honestly say that I am hitting the ball better and longer than ever and I am 61 and have been swing a golf club since I was 12, not well but getting better!
Really enjoyed the Xander video. I've been struggling off the tee, and the simplicity of his technique is something I think I can take to the course. Xander is one of my favorite pros to watch due to his steady game and with a temperment and body type similar to mine. Danny, thanks for another great golf video with easy to understand tips.
Great combo of two genuinely nice guys, one who loves what he does and knows what to ask, and the other an elite pro who can articulate his process. Tremendously helpful and enjoyable to watch. Thanks to both!
Xander is so humble and I always loving watching Danny Maude's videos, as he makes the golf swing tips easy to understand and apply to my swing. Kudos!
X has been my favorite golfer on tour for years now. Really appreciate his approach to the game, his demeanor and, being 5' 9" myself, his ability to hang with the big guys. I foresee more majors in his very near future.
Hi Danny, Thanks for making this content. It has been a game changer for me since I started to follow you almost two years ago. As a disabled veteran, you tips and instruction had made a difference for me to be able to enjoy the game. Thank you!!!!
Great video...I love how you interact with your guests( from Xander to your Dad). You are a great coach because you listen and base your questions and instruction on what you are learning.. Thanks of much for your help.
Xander so humble but deliberate in his approach. I love that he mentioned how he reads about the golf swing. He’s one of us, just trying to get better.
Wow! Great, simple but effective advice from Xander! Not often a 2x Major champion from current era, let alone one that is currently world number 2, shares such personal and key info to help ordinary handicap golfers like me improve. Thanks to Xander for giving up the time to share his thoughts. Will defo be incorporating the tips into my game! Well done Danny, yet another cracking presentation and interview, keeping it short and simple for us. Love the channel!
Thank you Danny for bringing this kind of valuable information to your channel. This is why I subscribed to your channel and will continue to watch your vids until I can no longer swing a club. Kudo's to Xander for coming on to your channel and sharing his simple tips. Hopefully it will help some of us achieve our goals. Thanks again Danny Maude!
Me being a 57 year old golfer, Xander’s heel lift explanation just made it click for me. Now I’m stuck inside with 14” of snow on the ground waiting for warm weather so i can get back out and chase that 300yd goal. Love the content Danny!
Thanks for this video Danny, it's great to see a casual conversation with a leading player who explained his thoughts on his changes for getting extra yards when required.
Loved Xanders humility and clear way of explaining exactly what he does. Too many pros are so advanced that their teachings don’t translate, but I feel I can take these tips to the course right away!
Absolutely amazing video, Xander is one of my favorite players in the tour due to his “simplicity” and so elegant swing, thanks so much Danny Maude for being in it to your followers! Greetings from Madrid ! 😊
I love all the tips that Danny gives. It makes it so easy to understand. Also, Xander is so awesome and love how he went through and explained the different shots and how he sets up to the ball.
Really enjoyed the video with Xander. I have to say Danny that over the years following you that you are my go to guy especially when I’m struggling. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought or even verbalized “thank you Danny “.
Danny that was amazing. I have always liked Xander on tour but this just gave me a whole new perspective on such a humble down to earth guy. Thanks for bringing this to us Danny! Great lesson!
Great session with Xander, who imparted his swing thoughts on a really straightforward and knowledgeable manner. Particularly liked his allignment process and also the importance of keepinghis left shoulder square. Superb, thank you Danny.
Have always enjoyed your instruction. I liked the tip from Xander about focusing on taking tension out of the forearms and the slight pause at the top of his backswing as I tend to rush my transition. Thanks for your contribution to golf instruction and keep the great content coming.
Xander exemplifies less tension creating more distance and speed! I was excited to see one of my favorite golfers on my favorite teaching site! Great work!
An excellent video. The manner and style that Danny now has in his videos is a testament to listening to what his followers want. He makes everything simple and distils the knowledge and wisdom of others into a format that we all can relate to. Please keep up the great work Danny. Best instructional videos on u tube. Thanks.
Xander is such a cool dude. I love his chill demeanor and easy to understand way of explaining what he does. Very good Video. Gives me something to work on over the next month or so while waiting for the weather to get a bit better.
Seing Xander talk about the heel lift makes me feel a lot better because I tend to do the same thing when I do get some sort of distance from my drive. Great video!
Xander is great in videos like this because he is so relatable. Even though he's one of the best in the world, he doesn't come across as someone who believes what he does is unattainable. The tips were simple and easy to grasp. Great video.
I absolutely love Xander’s game and his instruction is always simple, clear, humble in delivery, and very relatable. Thank you Danny and Xander for another awesome instructional video!
Xander is at top of his game and still takes time to enjoy making these videos. Danny, you do a wonderful job and I have been able to implement so many of your instruction tips into my game with success. Keep it up! Thank you!
It’s amazing to see a smaller pro to be able to hit a ball that far. It just goes to show you that consistency and technique are a huge part of your swing. Thanks again for another great video!
Thank you for interviewing Xander. Feel like a lot of knowledge was shared that can be beneficial for golfers who inspire to get better with their game.
i love how xander is so down to earth and easy to understand when he gives tips. This is a winner!
I absolutely loved the humility of Xander, no ego on display. The simplicity of the explanations will enable golfers of all ability to follow the advice in their search for improvement. Great lesson.
Xander’s humility is exemplified by the fact he was willing to join Danny. Both great guys and the tips are astronomical to improving the game.
Hi Danny , really look forward to your tips every Saturday,
Watching Xander sharing his drivers thoughts was very interesting ( left heel, left shoulder high) great 11 minute video
humble, not humility LOL.
Not once was he humiliated!
@@adamutuberHumility is the correct abstract noun for the adjective humble; it does not imply being humiliated.
When you have a major champion offering tips, you have to sit and listen, absolutely priceless. Working on the left heel so great to see
It was a pleasure and a privilege to work with him
@DanielMaude keep up the great work,
Must be a dream come true. Fully deserved for all the help you have given us with your tips over the years
Very informative Danny as all your videos are. Keep up the good work 🏌⛳️
Enjoyed the tips about taking tension out of the swing

I enjoyed the way Xanders explained what he was doing so practically! Danny, you helped by asking great questions at the right time! Always enjoy your videos and your teaching!!!
That’s really kind thank you
These ‘tips’ were so simple but completely changed the way I swing my clubs, not only driver!
Thanks so much for taking the time to write and feedback. I really appreciate it
Xander is a gentleman and scholar of golf.Simple not complicated instruction with humility.
You are very welcome Jon, thanks so much for the feedback
Hi Danny, long time watcher and you have single handedly helped me get better at the game. Enjoyed this video with Xander, not just for the tips but nice to see his personality as well. You miss that when watching tournaments on TV. Keep it up!
Im 78 and still enjoying the game which I learned in my teens. Enjoying it more when I learn
from one of the best players like Xander Schauffeler.
Xander’s explanation of adjusting the shoulder line versus shifting the hips was very helpful. Thanks for sharing this, Danny!
You are very welcome Alex
Love the simplicity of the changes to drive longer. Nice to hear from the pros and see their smooth effortless swings.
Glad you enjoyed it
Xander has a brilliant way of explaining his set up, strategy, and swing motion. The great ones make everything look simple. Bravo!
They do indeed Kurt
Thank-you!
The shoulder tilt hack is super cool! Amazing you can bring humble and talented Xander to share tips to make your tribe better. thank you Danny!
Humility alongside extreme capabilities = confidence in what's being said. Thanks to both of you.
Love the simplicity of Xander and how Danny goes through the process of getting information for us without being invasive. Thank you both.
@@mc_allstar4860 pleasure, really happy to help
Love listening to Danny's golf tips but to add someone like Xanders to the vid is priceless. Thanks, look forward to trying this at the range.
@@rosgamer_original glad you enjoyed it
Great video.
@StephenHarrell-i2l thank you so much for your support. Glad you enjoyed it. Have fun practicing 👍🏻
Thanks!
@harrygard6192 that’s great to hear. Thank you so much for your support 👍🏻
I really enjoyed Xander Schauffele, the way he explained his swing and his thought process regarding approach was very informative.
Glad you enjoyed it Ian
@CarlosPrieto-v7b thank you so much for your support. I really appreciate it. Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
I love all the tips that Danny gives. It makes it so easy to understand. Also, Xander is so awesome and love how he went through and explained the different shots and how he sets up to the ball.
@armandorodriguez1893 thank you so much for your support. I really appreciate it 👍🏻
Love Xander! Thanks for bringing him on board to share these driver techniques. I’ll be trying them at the driving range this week.
What a great segment! Thanks to Xander for joining up with Danny. 2 great guys with fantastic insights.
Xander is one of the most kind players on the tour and his ability to explain his swing method are superb! Loved this vid!
Have always enjoyed your instruction. I liked the tip from Xander about focusing on taking tension out of the forearms and the slight pause at the top of his backswing as I tend to rush my transition. Thanks for your contribution to golf instruction and keep the great content coming.
You have shown me a lot the last couple of years. Thank you for all your videos. I think your videos make the most sense when it comes to golf. Thanks
Love how Xander is down to earth and humble; tells it like it is and easy to relate....thx!
@suzannesmith23 yes he really is. Thank for your support 👍🏻
I think the best players keep it simple
I absolutely love Xander’s game and his instruction is always simple, clear, humble in delivery, and very relatable. Thank you Danny and Xander for another awesome instructional video!
@scotthooper1158 Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you 👍🏻
Xander is at top of his game and still takes time to enjoy making these videos. Danny, you do a wonderful job and I have been able to implement so many of your instruction tips into my game with success. Keep it up! Thank you!
@MichaelBoss-p8t thank you so much for your support. I really appreciate it 🙏🏻
It’s amazing to see a smaller pro to be able to hit a ball that far. It just goes to show you that consistency and technique are a huge part of your swing. Thanks again for another great video!
Thank you for interviewing Xander. Feel like a lot of knowledge was shared that can be beneficial for golfers who inspire to get better with their game.
