You want a shorter back as compared to a longer underline with the withers and top of the hip to be fairly level rather then the withers shorter then the hips. The shorter the back the stronger and more balanced the horse is likely to be. A long neck and a deep heart girth is also good along with a slopping shoulder and hip to round out balance of the horse.
