I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to play so well but seeing and hearing performances like this are enough to lift me off my feet. Music is wonderful but being able to watch someone play just adds another layer. Thanks
I say a lot of times that there will always be someone ahead of you that will inspire you as a musician. I am so glad that you found some of that here. Thanks for your encouraging support. Joyfully!🎹
Many many would-be musicians at the start are in the same boat, however, as a piano player that was self-taught, all I can say what I say to other people, all you need is patience, persistence and passion. Took me around 400 to 500 hours easily to master the piano, every day something different pops up that I'm learning, a work in progress, I didn't have distractions at the time, almost 30 years ago, no social media or UA-cam at the time, so I dedicated my free time to learning to play. Stick with it, you'll come across new things to learn every time you play. The best thing about playing the piano for me, when I've had a crap day at work, I just play the piano, takes me away from the everyday strains of life, very therapeutic and a great stress reliever. :)
Thank you for sharing this amazing performance and demo of Soundpaint's possibilities! Would love to hear (see?) your thoughts on version 2.5 with several enhancements and new options, among others keymapping / -switching and now we get 8 parts to play with, and a randomizer!
Simeon, the beautiful notes at the end of your video is so heart warming and inspiring. I can't handle the euphoria, its melting my senses into ecstasy.
Vince, that is the power and joy of music. It is something that goes beyond the senses and right into our hearts. Thanks so much for the kind words. Joyfully!🎹
Simon. Hope all is well? Saw this a while ago and kinda went past it Lol. But now I am back. The way you demonstrated this thing makes it sound amazing. I am definitely looking for as I should say the last piece of my set up of a great Vst piano that will give me what I need in full body that will cut through the mix and also be soft when needed moments all of this real time. So my question to you is. Every Vst demo I have watched especially on here. UA-cam seems like it makes it sound great through your headphones or Bluetooth from your phone. Then it seems like when I actually download the sound. It sounds different being in person I guess from my computer. So I just need to honestly. Does it sound like that in person or no?
Matthew, yes it actually does. I am taking the sound straight out of the DAW with no additional effects or processing. One of the keys most players miss is the importance of having the right controller and setting the velocity curves to get the best sound out of these virtual pianos. There is a dynamic sweet spot where you get the response that will be optimized for how you are playing. Velocity curves are possibly the single most important thing to get right. Computer horsepower for processing. Audio interface for quality and minimize latency. Keyboard controller; your physical connection to the instrument. All of these have to work together. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
I discovered your channel a few days ago and I love your playing and the passion you put into it. Question: do you consider this to be a good choice for a worship piano? God bless you Simeon!
Daniel, I think it has some possibilities, especially when layered with other instruments. I will have to go back and check some of the presets to see if there is anything that stands out. Thanks so much for watching. Joyfully! 🎹
Oh, it's already here 😎I plan on having a "Soundpaint Corner" feature during future livestreams to cover one or two of the newest Soundpaint instruments so stay tuned.

Could you share what you have been running into? Also let me know more about your setup (computer platform, DAW, etc. ). I will see if I can help.
