She has the perfect voice for Christine! She has that naive young chorus girl sound and look, I find a lot of Christine's look and sound to mature for the role.
iluvfirenze89 Wow that’s quite rude. Different people enjoy different depictions of Christine. Also writing her off because she is “third-string” is absurd. Especially because the beginning of Phantom is literally about how a chorus girl- not even a cover or understudy- is perfect in the lead role. Broadway is ridiculously hard to break into and the fact that she has made it at all shows that she has talent.
@@iluvfirenze89 "3rd string Christine" she's lead on Broadway now so I guess someone's probably salty, lol! The fact that you comment on all of her Christine videos is a little pathetic.. she's on Broadway and what exactly are you doing?
She hasn't been an understudy in a while? There was a brief time in... maybe 2016, when she was, but she was the alternate when she started and was the alternate when Ali Ewoldt left.
She just sparkles with youthful happiness. I would love to see her with Laird Mackintosh. Also, Jeremy was a beautiful Raoul. Wish he were still there as well.
You really shouldn’t compare Christines like that, if they even are on broadway then they obviously have quite a bit of talent then. And besides now Kaley is the main Christine, so she really gets her time to shine
@@iluvfirenze89 Seems you were wrong how sad. All Christine’s are good although Ali and Rachel are good in your opinion doesn’t mean they’re good in others so stop commenting on every post about her. And look where Kaley is now? She’s the top of the top.
@@iluvfirenze89 “only the third string Christine” wow. That’s rude. If she wasn’t good she wouldn’t have been casted at all. Being and alternate has nothing to do with talent.
Saw her perform last night. She quickly became one of my favorite Christines, having the youth of the character, but an incredibly mature voice to back it up. :)
I just saw here this weekend, I actually preferred her over Ali Edwolt. Ali was amazing, no question, but there was something about Kaley's voice and embodiment of Christine that touched my soul.
Brittany Hreha Omg me too!! Ali has a gorgeous voice but her voice is stronger and slightly deeper than Kaley's. Kaley's sweet and light voice fits the innocence in Christine's character.
I think Kaley's status as only the 3rd string Christine, behind Ali and Rachel, pretty much tells us how good she is. She's good but definitely not better than Ali or Rachel. lol
Story time! My chorus takes a trip to NYC every four years, and last year was the year that we went. Our group was scheduled to go to Phantom at around 8 that night, which I was SOOOOO excited for. (Honestly, the ONLY reason I wanted to go) We had (dramatic sigh) a lot of trouble getting there... First off, our bus broke down at the gas station. Our chorus director called his travel agent and asked if they could get the plane to hold for us, since there were about fifty in the party. They said they would handle it. We were finally given a ride to the airport by a local bus line and literally sprinted through security and the airport to get to our gate, just to see the plane take off without us. We were therefore split into groups(got split up with my best friend), and had to take 5 different planes for all of us to get there. At one point it looked like we weren't even going to make it to see the show. MANY TEARS WERE SHED THAT DAY. Our plane landed at 6. Rush hour. We called an uber for our group and got at our hotel at 7:30. Running up to our hotel room, we threw our bags in and sprinted across New York, to the Majestic. (This was when I realized that my friend was still stuck at the airport, and that she wouldn't be able to see the show :'( Our group was fifteen minutes late. The people at the ticket office kindly let us in. I could hear "Think of Me" playing behind the theater door. My heart SOARED with excitement. We were lead up to the balcony where our seats were, and as I was walking up the stairs, Kayley Ann hit her high note in "Think of Me". I LITERALLY FELL ON THE STAIRS AND GOT WEIRD STARES FROM PEOPLE AND ANOTHER FRIEND CAME TO ME FROM OUR GROUP AND WAS LIKE GURL YOU OK? IM FINE I JUST AM HAVING A HEART ATTACK FROM PURE JOY CAN THAT EVEN HAPPEN?!?!?!?! Anyways, the cast was phenomenal (Ben Crawford!!!), and I will never forget how amazing it was to see this show live. Thanks to those who read this to the end! Lol. ;)
i just recently saw her playing this role on thursday. she's amazing at what she does. i'm probably going back to see phantom of the opera again just bc she was so amazing and the show was amazing!
I normally don't post comments and such... but last Saturday's Kaley Ann and Jeremy Stolle's performance was superb!!!! Ha !Superb is a understatement.
Me neither. Ali and Rachel are better than Kaley. That's why Kaley is only the 3rd string Christine. She's good but definitely not better than Ali or Rachel. lol
Well, your opinion is your opinion, but I don't really see the point of pitting Christines against each other. I found Kaley Ann Voorhees to have a refreshingly energetic interpretation with a terrific fighter spirit, and really liked what she brought to the role.
Ice Cream I love both roles. Ali has a perfect energy and voice, and Kaley has this youth and innocence to her, while still having the voice to back it up. They will both always be my Christines.
I didn't say "don't compare" - I compare all the time. I said "don't pit them against each other", like it's some competition where one Christine is objectively better. It's not; it's all based on your subjective opinion. And even if you don't like KAV, understand that she can be liked by others and can still bring something new and different to the role, and I think that should be valued just as much as "getting more for your money". (And fFor the record, I like both.)
I don't get the Ali and Kaley arguments. They are both friends, they are both our cinnamon Christines and THEY.ARE BOTH MAGNIFICENT!
She has the perfect voice for Christine! She has that naive young chorus girl sound and look, I find a lot of Christine's look and sound to mature for the role.
Yeah, that explains why she's only the 3rd string Christine behind Ali and Rachel on Broadway. You must be Kaley's mama. lol
iluvfirenze89 Well it is Broadway, and therefore extremely hard to get a job there, so she's done well.
Emmy Vi I was able to see her live, and because I'd only heard Sierras voice I couldn't imagine if be as blown away as I way by Kaylies!

She's finally not an understudy! I'm so excited to see this in 2019!
She hasn't been an understudy in a while? There was a brief time in... maybe 2016, when she was, but she was the alternate when she started and was the alternate when Ali Ewoldt left.
just seen at majestic! amazing!!! i think she is a perfect Christine voice!
I just saw her live on broadway today and she was outstanding❤️She's my new favorite Christine
Then why is Kaley only the 3rd string Christine behind Ali and Rachel? Apparently, the director knows a lot more about music than you. lol
iluvfirenze89 It's just an opinion calm down. I'm entitled to have one.

This is the first time I'm hearing her sing!! She's so perfect for the role and I can't wait to see her!!!
I saw her last night for her opening night back as alternate... WOW. Unbelievably talented and amazing and just the perfect Christine in my opinion.

Holy crap, this is the most adorable and amazing version! Love Kaley!
I saw her in March 2018 with Peter Joback and Rodney Ingram. I will never forget it!
That note at the end was so strong and beautiful!

I remember watching her 2 years ago.. she was such a fireball! love her so much .
A "fireball" 2 years ago, but only the 3rd string Christine on Broadway. lol
Kaley was the first Christine I've seen and she was absolutely amazing ❤❤❤
I love Kaley so much❤️❤️❤️
Simply the best Christine
I went to see this play when I went on a trip to NY with my school. Definitely worth watching.

My first Christine ❤️
Saw her tonight! She was absolutely brilliant!
beautiful ❤ both in voice and acting
crystal and pure, the best I've heard
Seen phantom 20 times. She had the best voice I ever did see
Kaley is such a beautiful Christine!!
Yes!!! I’ve been looking for her for 8 months now!
She is incredible.
Kaley will be first cast christine from november 17th
Saw it last Sat, she was fantastic. Too bad those seats at the Majestic are like torture devices for tall people.
So emotional, just can’t forget her voice
Who was raoul..?
Not the point, but kaley is my top 3
I believe Raoul is played by Jeremy Hays.
@Glass Prism Ah! Thank you
Better than Sara Brightman
I don't like it..
