I was just in Louisville Saturday. Did The Whole Shebang experience at Pursuit, it was a great time. A friend of yours was in the group I was in, said he used to work with you, and you where the one who got him into Pursuit, unfortunately I don’t remember his name. Didn’t get chance to do any hunting, but I did make the drive over to Buffalo Trace, Wild Turkey, Woodford Reserve and Glens Creek, Finished up the day at Angels Envy in downtown Louisville.
Thanks for watching, Bossy! We have liquor barns here in Cincinnati and I stopped at a Liquor Barn in Louisville a few months ago in this video: ➡️ ua-cam.com/video/FCGvwYu_ifs/v-deo.htmlsi=88LQRV_xZhgLDCB3
There's a small store downtown by Slugger Field called the Bottle Shop and Tasting Room that's awesome for pours. They had pours of Russell 15 for $25 when Evergreen down the street in Nulu wanted $50
@whiskey_weather The Wheated bourbon. It reminded me of larceny a lot. Which one of my starter bourbons I've had. How much in shipping would i basically pay if bought a bottle online??
I have stopped into the one at Bardstown a few times but it was packed. The bar there is my favorite part. Appreciate the kind words, Mike! Cheers 👊🏽👊🏽
Saw it there a few weeks ago too. Great price at Costco for sure but I have a hard time spending $100+ on bottles consistently. Looking forward to seeing what else they put out in 2025. Cheers, David!
I worked for Total Wine for a few years and got to know some of their Spirit Direct products. They’ve been bringing in some really nice stuff recently. It isn’t the usual suspects that bourbon guys are looking for, but some of it isn’t bad at all. Chestnut Farms has always taken a lot of abuse from people because it’s pushed pretty hard by Total Wine. It’s not bad. Maybe a little overpriced for what is being a Barton 1792 sourced product. I’d like to see it put into a blind and see how it does. The Four Grain Hard Truth is probably the best of their BIB release in my opinion 🥃
@@jaxcoop1511 thanks for the insight. That’s interesting. What was your favorite of the offerings they had, is it Chestnut Farms? I will say Barton juice is good, but 64.99 is a bit high when you can get other Barton sourced things at higher proof near that price. I’m not 💯 against it, but I’d probably spend my $$ on something else. Would def be a good blind. Thanks for the idea! That 4 Grain Hard Truth is the only one of their offerings I haven’t had. Cheers Jax! Appreciate you!
@@whiskey_weatherThe Old Emmer cask strength is really good at $50.00. A lot of people really like the Wolcott Rickhouse Reserve as well. It’s 120 proof and packs a punch. Close to $45.00 a bottle. It’s a Barton product too. Not sure who they source the Old Emmer from though. Cheers
I think the bigger issue with total wine is that they don’t recommend things for the right reasons. The selection is great. I think liquor barn’s is just as good but I know that’s only in KY. Don’t disagree on your point. However, I have lived in states where the minimum price on the 4 year rye was $80. So at $59.99 or whatever it was, it was actually much cheaper than a lot of spots have it. Sadly there are too many over priced bottles out there. I do think that with this year and the glut, we are going to slowly see prices dip
That Costco selection is so much better than my local provincial liquor store (LCBO) here in Ontario. It’s going to get worst with the political fighting and a possible ban on American booze!! 😢
My favorite bourbon youtuber is BACK baby!
Haha cheers! Thanks for the support!
All I need is that knob 18 to complete the selection!
@@Texanhunter oooh nice! They have been much more available around here the last few weeks
the sound effect on the willet pot still was great
@@StillFunkyB hahaha Jack was making all sorts of sound effects hahaha

Nice!! Yeah it must have been Jeremy! He had mentioned he may do the tour. Sounds like a good day! Cheers!!
the Peter E. Hart is a gem!
Had never heard of it, but will keep my eyes peeled now! Thanks for the rec, Eric! Cheers!👊🏽🥃
I still enjoy them hunting videos. Great job Brandon. 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Brother! Cheers my man!
OF 1924 MSRP is $119.99. The one at Evergreen is $10 over
Correct. I made that correction at OF. Cheers Steve
How do you know if the Old Forester 1924 is batch 1 or batch 2?
Evergreen is a fun store. Wish it was a little closer
I had a bottle of Oregon Spirit bourbon about 8 years ago and did not care for it. I would have to try some before I would buy any more.
@@randyflood8320 ahhh that’s a bummer. Hopefully it has gotten better. Cheers, Randy!
1:23 those are Heaven Hill Bottled and Bond Store pics (bottom label is white instead of blue)...They are delicious😮
I haven’t had a store pick of the HH7 yet but enjoy the regular BiB. I bet a SiB pick of the BiB is fantastic!
@whiskey_weather yes they are. at 1:23 in the video you looked right pass them. They have white labels on the bottom.
@@TheWithdrawl I didn’t disagree with you. Lol was saying I haven’t had one yet.
@@whiskey_weather my fault...l thought I might have not been clear enough in my communication. Great video BTW
You’re good! I have seen a few of them around me, but haven’t bought one yet. Love HH, will probably get one soon! Cheers and appreciate it!
Welcome to my city. If recommend hitting Liquor Barns

Oooh nice! Thanks for the tip. Will have to check them out next time I’m down there! Cheers 👊🏽👊🏽
I have been wanting an elijah craig 18 so I would have grabbed that. I know a lot of people say it's not worth the price but I really like it.
They have it daily it seems for sale at heaven hill gift shop lately
@Bourbonandbrews really?!?! I will have to go down there and get one then! Thanks man!
Next time you’re at TW, get the Old Emmer Cask Strength. For $50 or at least ask them to pour you a sample. It’s a really nice wheated bourbon
Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely have to grab a sample next time!
Right by my house, awesome
Trying green river for the first time friend had to get in California for me
Oh nice! Which bottle is it? I enjoy Green River! Just did a pick of my own!

Greatly enjoy your bourbon hunting videos. I was somewhat disappointed in the Evergreens in Bardstown. I'll check out this one in Prospect.

And the Castle and Key cask strength wheated is also really, really good.
Have seen it a few times. I tried it at KBF and was a fan. Cheers!
Costco in Florence had the Bardstown Amrut for a great price last weekend. It’s really good.

What time did they drop the 117 at Old Forester
@@holysmokescharles we got there around 1:30pm but they supposedly had it most of the day

I live by Hard Truth. If ya can find their sweet mash rye double oak I think it's one of their best. But told it was a limited release.
They sent me one in The mail and it was fantastic! My 6th best rye of 2024, got a 7.1/10 on my scale. Cheers 812! Thanks for watching!
I’ll trade you a blue corn. I got an extra for Christmas lol

We are fortunate to be in the area we live I need to get to EverGreen one day
You’re so right. We are lucky! Def get down there, Gandy! Cheers man 👊🏽👊🏽
Looking for the next barrel pick. I got lucky last time.
It will be announced in. Few weeks and should be available in early March.
The Smokeye Hill Barrel Proof is close to Stagg Jr.
@@BarryDaniels-ke6qh wait, did I miss a bottle of Smokeye Hill on the hunt?? Please tell me I didn’t lol 😂
Just a comment. Slow down with the camera panning. Going a little fast.
Noted. Thanks for the feedback, Mike
Not a bad price for a 4 yr rye but still overpriced IMHO.
