How would you compare the trails at McAllister to OP Schnabel. My in laws live very close to McAllister so every time I’m in town I just ride or run from the casa to McAllister and spend a few hours shredding the park. I’m a XC rider so McAllister is super flowy for me, not technical, and just flat out fun to open up. I’ve never been over to Schnabel and will be in town for a week in July. Looking for your take on Schnabel to see if I should ride over there.
silverbullitt24 I would definitely recommend checking out OP. It’s not super technical but it’s more technical than Mac. I like McAllister bc it’s fast, flowy and scenic but OP is a lot of fun and has more diversity. It’s more spread out so I would recommend using Trail forks or having someone show you around. but I’ve also had fun just exploring. There’s a pretty sweet downhill section and some new wooden features called parkwood tables. I’ve done a few videos at OP so feel free to check those out too 😎🤙
I have a trek verve 1 hybrid bike do you think i will be able to hit these trails? there is a bike ride coming up for SAKOB just wondering if I would need a mountain bike instead
I’m not super familiar with hybrid bikes. You might be able to get by on some of the mellower trails but I think you would have more fun if your bike had some suspension. I would say a hardtail mtb would be perfect for these trails. Hope this helps
Hey Chenzo, love your channel. Got a new Specialized bike that I’ve taken out twice. Building confidence for now on the SA trails. Got a GoPro too to start my own UA-cam channel. You using a chest cam or helmet? Really excited and thanks for sharing. Stay safe and don’t work too hard. -Ashley
Ashley Hey Ashley, that’s awesome. Starting a channel is definitely an adventure. I film with a chest mounted Hero 8 and a tripod mounted hero 6.. I’m gonna do a video on my filming setup soon so stay tuned and stay stoked! 😎🤙
Dennis Wilson def bro. Take your time and do your research. But don’t take too much time lol... that’s the whole point of getting a budget bike.. to get out there and shred! 😎🤙
McAllister always has something new for the MTB soul. Great vid!
MVP Adventures thanks. def brother. Especially wen the weather is so nice 👌

Believe ir or not , the quality of your ride would change dramatically once you install an air fork .
armando cardenas definitely. I believe it. I think I’ve got the right fork picked out. Just puttin some money aside for it. Comin soon!
