I have an Alvarez Delta00/tbs and it suffers from exactly the same issue. It's not a bent neck. More that the neck is too high where it joins the body and the truss rod doesn't adjust the neck from the 12 fret down. Which mean you can only lower the action so much before you get fret buzz on those lower frets. It's very annoying. I got mine second hand for less than half price so I can live with it. But having heard my story repeated hear I wouldn't buy another Alvarez without physically inspecting it first.
Me encanta su video, muy original y atrevido comparar 2 modelos tan diferentes en todo sentido. me hace sentir muy seguro y feliz que yo tambien tengo una alvarez ap66shb que suena espectacular.
I recently bought an Alvarez delta delite. It's a 14 fret parlor style with a spruce top. It was my first time playing a parlor guitar but I really like it and seem to like it more as time goes by. I'm wondering how long you've had the AP66 and what you think about it. I've only been able to hear this model over youtube but am impressed by what I've heard and seen. It seems to me this might be a very good guitar for blues. I'd appreciate feedback from anyone with experience with this model. Thanks, and some sweet playing man!
I have had two of those guitars and they are amazing. Over all the years I have owned at least Alvarez' !!! I have Martins and a Taylor and I still play the Alvarez' most. I also have a Blues 51 12 fret. Of all the Alvarez' I have owned over many years,I have never once had to adjust the truss rod. On my last Martin I bet I have to do that at least two times a year !
Great Demo Janky .
Best advertisement for Alvarez, they make good instruments, and back them up too.
Guitar Center has a listed as being made in Japan.
Do you know what gauge strings came on the Alvarez? Great Chops too!! Wow 50! You look great brother.
what does "frets out" mean?
Think he meant fret buzz or multiple fret dampening due to the bent neck. Kinda obvious what he's talking about

Nice, but how much?
Killer video Janky. You sold me. I be gettin me one. Hopefully the frets not jacked up like yer first one.
Hey. So glad I can help.
All frets dropoff at the body. And what's up with the string spacing at the saddle on that low E??? Something wrong there.
Good point about the low E. might need easing over when the strings are loose?
That Parlour gutiar is huuuuuuge!!!!
Like it. Sure want one!

My man plays hard!!
Maybe the cause of the "fret-out?"😄😬
Good review. Do you play this on stage?
Great review man ! Thinking about the ap66 anymore trouble with it

It does join the neck at the 12th fret? How does that feel?
Does this guitar have a truss rod?
yes
Could u tell me if the neck is thin or thick please?
Thinish
They really are amazing guitars for the money.
This is advertised with 1 1/3 nut - is this correct?
Does this one have gloss on the sides and back too? I prefer a gloss body
Pretty sure no gloss on b/s. The masterworks mpa66 is all solid and has all gloss. I have the folk size and really love it
Nah. it is more of a satin finish
Think I'll go with the Masterworks version. Had a chance to.play one and its fantastic, all gloss too
more of a satin.
What are the woods??
Pretty sure its African mahogany solid top with laminate African mahogany sides.
Alvi sounded way better that the Gibby. Wow...didn't expect that.
Bob's your uncle it is!
You're playing it pretty hard
Like the elite series
Someone teach this guy some parlour playing skills. Visit Happy Traum channel.
He showed us it's headroom though. Wow! I think it can handle some pretty fingerstyle though. I think😂
