I'm also a resident doctor and have been loving your videos! It's super impressive how amazing you manage your time between work, filming and editing youtube, fitness, and social life! I feel like my days just flew every time I finish my shift and I can only do one thing after work and then its bed time😭 I know you've done videos on time management but I would love you do a video on breaking down your day doing each activities- like how long you spent in the gym each session, how long it takes to edit one video etc?
Best thing I ever did was reading the book Woman’s weight loss secrets: the unspoken truth, after applying the knowledge I got from the book I feel like the cellulite is magically disappearing from my body
As a registered dietitian I thank you so much for giving evidenced based advice to your community that is sustainable. Initially I was a little apprehensive as often doctors give slightly rouge nutrition advice!!
3:03 i think you're talking about ultraprocessed food, because simply a fryed/boiled egg is processed (it was under a PROCESS of COOKING), but chocolate bars and chips are ultraprocessed cause it's salt and sugar and other things you've talked about added to it
love you, for how far you've come, love you for showing every step of the way, for showing all the struggle of living alone and studying. I follow you since before i tought I wanted to go to med school. I am now a vet student and don't see myself following any other path, but, as you can imagine, I struggled a lot as one does, and I still do. Watching you now, so grown, healthy, informed, and happy (!), makes me hopefull that I will too. Lots of love
I love these points! And your consistency most of all. I'm about to have a baby this month but still want to stay active & conscious of nutrition much as possible for both self & family so I loved your food and exercise points and definitely will need to be more adaptable and less all or nothing.
Dr Faye, thank you for all the wonderful content you put out. From the hardwork, editing and time put. It is so clearly seen. Your work is appreciated.
I love this new format of informational sit down lifestyle videos but I think I miss your old vlogs and your more day to day videos where we would come w you on an adventure, I know its not easy to vlog your life anymore as you are a doctor and there is sensitive patient info but I think it would be so cool to see if there was any way you could! and maybe making these informational videos but in more of a vlog style such as this is wha Tim doing for breakfast bc of point a, b, c and then info and rationale behind it, I think I just miss your vlogs and am not used to so many educational sit down videos but I love you, your videos have kept me sane for years and I always appreciate the outlook you bring to us
Hello Dr.Faye. I would love to hear what books did you read, that would be awesome. Maybe making a video of it to show what books are the best ones iyo. And whenever you read a book, good or bad sharing your opinion in tiktok, instagram, or wherever is convienent for you. You are my latest obsession recently and I love you, xx.
About processed foods, the texture is also important... The more you chew, the less you eat 😊. Little experiment : Buy 10 apples. Out of 5 of them, make applesauce. How much did you eat in one sitting ? Now eat your 5 other apples. How much did you eat this time ? Chances are, you finished all the applesauce in one sitting, but could only manage 2 apples, depending on the size. But both only require 1 ingredient : apples ! Keep that in mind when building your plates... Have something that needs to be chewed in every meal. Avoid shakes and soups without a side, especially if you have them as a main meals (a small smoothie after a workout is not a crime😂)
do you use ADHD meds? processed food gives me that dopamine and I have trouble motivating myself to go to the Gym. I go for a month or so and then get bored from it and have zero motivation to cook food so 9 out of 10 times I order in - any advice for that?
Yeah she should really have been saying "ultra processed" rather than processed as that's what the research is focusing on as bad for health. Loads of healthy foods are processed because processing can include freezing/grating/cooking. Ultra processed foods are those which have a long list of ingredients you don't recognise and couldn't buy/make yourself, and the food barely resembles its original form. Those are the ones that are highly manipulated to find the "bliss point" of sugar, fat and salt so that we can't stop eating them.
Also we have to stop with the "aesthetic" and "boogie" anything trend... Change doesnt happen because you have a pretty workout outfit. You can have all the cute clothes you want, if you don't sweat buttloads in the gym, the change will never happen. Period.
Yes, naps are healthy when taken correctly! A 20-30 mins of napping will improve your memory and alertness. Short naps also help in reducing stress. But napping too late or for over 90 minutes can disrupt your sleep cycle. The most ideal time for a short nap is during early afternoon hours. Hope this answers your query!

I’ve just started watching you, do you live in Chelmsford?! I was born and raised there but now live in ipswich. I recognised that fountain and flats!
I went to uni there! ❤️
Hey Faye! Would like to have you on my show. I think we could have a great discussion and provide a lot of value to similar communities.
I struggle to understand processed vs unprocessed, surely everything counts as processed so what counts as ok and what counts as a problem

OMG gyms in SoCal are like $200/mo at least. How can I move?

Unveiling Your Hidden Potential by Bruce Thornwood (thank me later)
The before and now photo comparison on the thumbnail feels a bit off brand and icky! 😢
No, we clicked on the video for another reason, to do with the thumbnail!
Btw the Instagram link in your bio is broken
I needed this video🤍🤍🤍
