Some really strange things about this movie are heard in the Republic of Korea. A real shaman was present during the shooting of this movie to help the heroine hit the right steps. Also, these rituals are very dangerous and can cause unnecessary damage to the body. So there was a real shaman present during the shooting . One of the interesting and scary things here is that the heroine who was actually brought a spirit there. However, that spirit was not a bad spirit.
I already watched this but there were few things in Japanese that were not translated .... overall it's 10/10, I was eagerly waiting for this movie and after that the GHOST SERIES explanation

Same thing happened with my family My mom nd me we went to my mother hometown vacation but some quarrel happened btw mom nd dad so we didn’t returned for almost like 2 yrs to my dad when we came back ppl told us our great grandma is no more , my mom was angry with her inlaws for not telling her about it nd asked them if her rituals were done properly ,to which they said yes everything done ryt . Thats when how everything started ,My great grandmother her rites were not done properly as well People whom she loved died one by one it was really worrisome my mom didn’t know what as happening but my mom got a hunch . When family members were dying one by one my mom was very worried nd she took a nap where my great grandma use to sleep it was 12pm afternoon time when this happened she opened her eyes nd couldn’t speak like something binded her from moving then she saw great grandma standing at the door like floating very dark eyes nd very angry she shouted so much said a lot of things but mom couldn’t understand the language she was speaking then she disappeared that’s when my mom could move nd ran out from home ,on the road where she was crying Then she came across a monk who stopped her nd asked her about what’s happening she told them everything where they helped her nd told my mom to come to there sacred area Taught some rites nd also the monk nd shamans they asked about the spirits to which mom said she couldn’t understand any word grandma said , monk told us that once dead person become spirits they have their own language which is hard to understand so they call upon the spirits of grandma nd asked her what she mean , the another shaman said to my mom that grandma is very angry as she was 100yrs old nd all her life she looked after her very own children nd family so they could become successful nd happy so she would cook clean nd take care of every one even at the age of 100 , she was happy doing that , but she used to say to my mom that her wish when she die she wants her antim Sankar death ritual with white flowers lily her favourites , she wanted her body to be surrounded by white flowers that the only thing she wanted no extravagant things only flowers nd with respect she wanted from her family but the so called my father family all were exceptionally well successful ppl money ,job everything they had ,they said they don’t believe in such things ,one month before my mom nd dad had quarrel nd my mom took me with her to hometown after that one month my grt grandmother died so they didn’t even inform my mother , when she died they all burned her body in that flaming machine where ppl who don’t have families are burned just to save their money her rituals were not done , we were so angry even now we think about it someone who did her best all life for the ones she hold dearly ,are the ones who didn’t even cared for her even after death ,seriously that’s why her spirits was so angry she was telling my mom about this nd told her I will take everyone with me no bloodline shall be spared she was pointing at my mother crying where were you when did happened that’s what the shaman told us my mom cried nd asked for forgiveness becoz she didn’t new something like this happened so my mother asked for a solution. They said only the purest of all goddess can only protect uh nd as my great grandma was Buddhist , but nobody in her family followed her religion so my mom she is Brahman she took the oath to never consume non -veg or garlic,alcohol nd accept the Buddhist religion nd rituals of Taradevi becoz the one who worships coudnt consume these things .Again the rituals were done properly no body in family supported saying it’s just waste superstition only the uneducated ones do that but my mom did her duties so she can save everybody but the only problems was all family must do it at the very least night when my mom slept she saw her again with other’s dead family standing behind her nd told my mom about how ppl still didn’t respect her to which she said I have to take you with me as my grandma move forward my mom said I was 3yrs old she said I have the very odd habit to play at night when other kids play whole day I would just stay quiet during day nd at night I would giggle nd play my great grandma loved me the most becoz I am the only girl born in family but my uncles they all wanted a boy Nd would always hated my mom nd me nd becoz of that my dad would always scold my mom about it ,so when my grandma was moving forward she saw me playing on her path so she stopped ,my mom got scared that she might take me as well so she begged nd told her that every year when Sharad comes will do ur rituals with white flowers wholeheartedly but plz don’t my child ,to which my grt grandma smiled nd said to my mom that my very own blood ppl abandoned me nd yet you both loved me the most specially the child who would always call me I would never harm you,after that my grandma blessed she said I was looking at her nd giggling she her say no matter where you go when you grow up I’ll be with you ppl who harms u or make uh cry will not be spared nd the she turned around nd said to my mom thank you nd also told her that she will not harm us but couldn’t spare the other people so she said people will die one by one with diesease like curse that’s how I shall take them their very own children will abandon them when there time comes so they can see how it felt no boy shall ever be born in this family except you she stared at me my mom told me after that I don’t remember much but as I grew up it become quite normal for me to see dead people sometimes at first it was scary but as I grew older I couldn’t help it happens sometimes , quarrel happened my mom nd dad got seperated mom took me nd y little sis wither as soon as we leave that home within 2months we got the news dad is no more it felt bad but we knew this would happen coz my mom was core foundation of that home her prayers ,everyday rituals her sacrifice has saved that home till we left that home now that home is cursed ppl living in that are suffering from never ending dieseas ,my mom nd me were are happy now all I can say those who will read comments this movie I am very amazed that someone has or may be experienced the same it’s actually true So no matter how educated or modern you are never be ashamed of believing becoz it’s truth love your loved ones ur grandparents no matter howeverer they are becoz we all got the limited to time to share nd love before it’s too late ,give respect to their efforts

I haven't come across such an overhyped Korean movie in years as Exhuma. Lee Do-hyun and Kim Go-eun have been involved in some excellent projects and their performances have always impressed me. However, this film features a disjointed storyline with non-frightening ghosts, shifting erratically from a revenge plot involving a delusional ghost with colonial roots and a penchant for eating fish.
Umm... Okay... But is this movie at least "a one time watch" worthy?
