It’s quite upsetting that this is being paraded around as the “ normal” experience of women in college, or as if it should be normal. The focus of this story is literally ‘boys’.

Rooney needs to learn to grab on to ANYTHING, any feeling that he has, and decisions she makes and every opportunity she is given even if it inconveniences somebody around her. She is too iffy about EVERYTHING and in the end she has nothing but is fine some how. Everybody is trying to achieve the same thing in life and when Rooney achieves it, she lets it go, ALL THE TIME. Again, an AWFUL representation of women.
And then they do the whole, “this opportunity was beneath you anyways”. They’ve been doing that since the beginning of chicken girls. Especially when one person in the groups of friends want to move forward in life. Making every character that seizes an opportunity to move forward seem like a bad person makes progress a villain in this show. And then, when they go back to friendship , it makes friendship seem like a hole to always be stuck in. This is a bad message to feel young girls.
