Great introductory to the PE game- concise and fact-driven, but also inspiring! I am absolutely fired up about learning more and putting a plan together to get myself positioned using this and all the other great info Gerald & BMC provide - BTW Mike Lorelli is introduced in Geralds other webinar I found...Amazing! I could not believe how much value Mike handed over for free during that publicly available video. He is a genius and that's the kind of guy I hope to be around to soak up as much as possible. I dont have millions to spend on this, but I am committed to exploring deeply as I am just burned out of the whole fortune 500 game. Thanks Gerald, you guys rock-n-roll!!!!! Good overview and introduction to the PE world. Contents and material used could use a refresh. The tax law changes implemented by the Trump Administration plus the economic landscape, especially heading in to an election year and beyond, may present a different PE / Company ownership climate.
Like Myth Busters for how PE. Told as a story and then facts given to back up the story. Explains what the PE process is and more importantly what the PE process is not. Worth the 40 minutes.
Excellent overview. Gerald hits it on the head in this 2012 presentation. In 2016, Global PE investment hit a record $681B (Forbes), and is predicted to continue the pace in 2017 and beyond. Interestingly, anyone following sectors like Consumer Electronics, Semiconductor, Medical, and adjacent can see that the ecosystems are constantly in state of flux with M&A activity driven by the need to acquire technology and skillsets necessary for NTD/NPD, and enter markets with the next "big thing" . Great opportunities! However, also a great deal more complexity in terms of "match making".
