Great video, now I want a box of squid lures 😂
Go for it! 😂😂😂
Well done guys 🎉
Cheers fella
just bought my first squid jig on way home from work then realised i had no idea how to use it, perfect timing 👍😁
I still have no idea how to use mine lol should get better in time - I hope!
well done Jason mate great attempt on your first attempt. well done cliff👍
Cheers matey :)
The beach looks really quite, was it in Hove?
Brighton mate next to pier
@@TheEastbourneFisherman Interesting, I'm sure we were there 2 weeks ago, but nobody had anything. Maybe it was before the big rain and rubbish weather. 🎉
Actually I was closer to the Marina. I might just go for a walk and keep casting along the shore next time. 🤭
Awesome Jason, I find fishing at night ,in the marina with the marina lights shining into the water best also tie a strip, of fish onto the jig ,don't cover the lure pins , the squid will hang on more if they feel the soft fish, instead of the hard body of the lure , you will catch cuttlefish 😊 .wait till you get a face full of inc 😮 .Happy catching from Australia Nick 🇦🇺
Nice one nick
I want to try float fish for them it's ment to be good fun
Weather keeps changing atm so it's hard to pinpoint times to go :( but glad I caught a few
Hi Jason you ok pal, nice one on the squid lads ,I've never tried either. Duz look great spot. I watched your mate c.j. the other day and he changed to a smaller jig n got straight into them. All the best lads from GRIMSBY
Nice one mate yeah the smaller jig worker better for us too :)
Watched CJ's video yesterday of him and the Amputee Angler squid fishing Eastbourne with no lights onto the water and catching them really close in to the beach. Have a look at his video before you try again. Good video all the same.
I'm yet to catch up on his video hopefully this eve I'll take a look
Thanks for suggesting the no lights on the water I will put this into practice on the next session and see if catches improve :)
I used a small glow stick on my lures
Great idea how do you attach it and what part to?
Brilliant video as always I'm actually going brighton this weekend, wanted to ask what beach mark would you advice to target the squid
Hi mate sorry for delay in replying
Calm weather flat seas should be all the way along madera drive
well done they look pretty hard to catch to be honest i will let you know how it goes when i try. i got my first fishing match this week
Good luck for the match mate sure you will do fine.
As for anything new it's hard at first hopefully will get easier as time goes on!
A bit of super glue would be worth a try? As far as I can remember the numbers on the little weight is how many seconds it takes to drop 1 metre.
Cheers mate I did manage to fix it with some loctite!
And yeah I did check about the numbers on the weights and your right it's the rate of sink :)
Cool video ps was the water clear or dirty 😊
Both! It wasn't mega clear but not chocolate!
did you see the cod post on Facebook ?
I am yet to look mate been super busy with work!
Do the lures float or they on the bottom.
They sink to the bottom.
@@PumpTheRod Thanks, may have to give it a go, will check at local tackle shop see if we get them here on Welsh coast, never heard them mentioned round here.
You can get weightless ones but the ones in the video are weighted so they sink
If you really want to charge up your jigs or fluorescent beads on rigs, use a camera flashgun, put it under your jacket or turn away from the water to stop the flash freaking the fish out.
Great tip thanks for sharing :)
try fishing for them in the dark ,it could improve your catch rate. without the light shining on the water.
Thanks for the tip
I will deffo take this info and apply it to the next session :)
why on earth would you go swimming in the sea at night??
And completly naked too!
Beggers belief, only in Brighton
I would be scared my worm would get pinched!
