  • This formula is ideal for inside mounted blinds as well as externally mounted ones. Cut the front fabric 4" or 10 cm wider than you want and the lining 1/4" or 1/2 cm narrower. The side seams should be sewn as close to 7/8" or 2.2cm. When made up they usually come out about between 1/8 or 4mm narrower than your original measurement.
If you want to skip the information about sewing the trim onto the blinds, then fast forward from 14 mins to 25.14 mins on the film. I just to try to make my films into full lessons for you to follow.
I have been in the upholstery and interior decorating business for over 25 years, as well as teaching these subjects both privately and in colleges. I have drawn on my years of teaching to put this video together and hope to have answered all your questions.
Please feel free to ask questions and I shall see if I can answer them for you.
