A race-to-8 double elimination bracket will reduce the field to 32 players who will then face single elimination, race to 10, to determine the champion.
This will be the ninth staging of the men’s World 8-Ball Championship. It had previously been played in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates before being revived from a ten-year hiatus in Puerto Rico last year.
Also taking place in Klagenfurt this week: the Predator WPA World 10-Ball Women’s Championship (18-22 October) and the Predator WPA World 10-Ball Junior Championships (19-22 October), which has divisions for Girls, Boys Under-19s and Boys Under-17s.

He's done it again. He's pretty much dominated pool for the last 10 - 12 years. What a player.
Shane will be a hall of fame in the future.. Accomplished a lot in his career… Congratulations Shane 2023 8 ball world champion..
Shane is now 40 so he is eligible for the next BCA HOF ballot. In 2024 he will be in the HOF. If it is somehow not a unanimous selection then thy person that votes no needs to give up their spot since he is the best player I’ve seen watching pool over a couple of decades.
One thing I take from watching this, is that if any League player is playing 8 ball and asks "I can't even make a ball on the break half the time, what's wrong with my break".. the answer might be 'nothing' lol.

Pro Billiards TV - you got to make sure your overall volume is at the right amount. You want ads on your videos, fine. But the ads are much higher volume than your videos! I shouldn't have to raise the volume to be able hear the commentators to then be bombarded with high level ad!

_also noticed, no extension during play, cue went back down normal length , which means the cue was not as Heavy for Eight Ball!!_
