@@MaskedMan66 these days in America, one of the biggest compliments is to say “that was sick”. It is obviously hyperbole but also comes from the fact that people are running out of extreme words so they introduce new vernacular. The only way the speaker can differentiate between the hyperbole compliment and the literal derogatory is by the inflection of speech. Yet people will still sometimes type it in comments, and assume it is understood as a compliment.
