  • We are thrilled to share the highlights from the PIND Foundation Lagos Employment Summit 3.0, a groundbreaking event that took place recently and is dedicated to advancing youth development and employment in Nigeria. Themed "Job Creation Uniting for Impact: Create, Collaborate, Change," the summit brought together an incredible array of stakeholders, thought leaders and passionate advocates to explore innovative solutions for job creation and youth empowerment.
The summit featured inspiring keynote speeches from industry leaders, The Lagos state Governor, and experts who shared their insights and experiences on driving change in youth employment, offering valuable perspectives and inspiration.
At the event, PIND proudly showcased its achievements and commitment to reducing youth unemployment through innovative approaches, strategic partnerships, and providing market-relevant skills training to young people.
During the event, PIND hosted a panel discussion titled “Innovative Ways for Reducing Youth Unemployment and Enhancing Job Creation,” led by Tunji Idowu, PIND’s Executive Director. This allowed us to engage with key stakeholders and showcase our Youth Employment Pathways (YEP) Model, its impacts, and successes. Speaking at the session were PIND YEP Partner Nwamara Amadikwe, CEO of Gold by AMy6015; Ms. Chiemela Anosike, a Solar Entrepreneur; and Mr. Zigha Ayibakuro Timothy, CEO of Zalgroup.
Initiated in 2018, our Youth Employment Pathway (YEP) program has successfully linked over 8,336 young people in the Niger Delta region with market-relevant skills and connected over 3,435 young people to waged employment, income-earning opportunities, and enterprise start-ups in emerging growth sectors.
We aim to ensure youths can access the necessary resources, skills, and opportunities to thrive in the evolving job market. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where young people can unlock their potential and contribute to sustainable economic growth in the Niger Delta and beyond.
