Had the enigma for a little over a week and I couldn’t be happier. Like Matt said don’t knock it until you rock it. My favorite part of the enigma is the fact that the gun is in the same place on my body regardless of the pants (or even different types of jeans) I’m wearing.
This was my intial overview of using it from about 2 month ago. So I’ve had the Phlster Enigma 48 hrs now and wanted to share some initial thoughts. Currently using it with a TXC holster and Glock 45. Assembly was fairly straightforward using the videos Phlster puts out I will say I wish the way to attach the buckle ends were a little easier to attach to the chassis system. Once on they are rock solid but there is a lot of trail and error to find what works best for you. The whole system stays in place very well and with how I’ve adjusted it sits lower than a traditional holster with almost zero printing from the grip. The rear sight does print slightly. The leg leash does it’s job. When drawing I have zero movement from the holster. This has been the most comfortable concealed carry option I’ve found. I have better range of motion and can sit, bend, move more naturally. I think some of this comes from separating the gun from my pants belt. I don’t have to tighten down my belt to secure my gun which allows me to keep it in a more relaxed adjustment. Yesterday I drove to visit a friend (an hour and a half trip). After a night of walking several blocks downtown, sitting for meals, and yes using public restrooms I didn’t have to adjust or remove the rig. It stays in place better than any belt holster I’ve worn. I have noticed I can feel some of the ends of the nylon on my stomach which might be corrected by adjustment. So far I’ve been very impressed with the enigma and look forward to trying it with other holsters and guns
Excellent overview. I’ve always wanted a solution that enables me to carry concealed while wearing joggers or shorts without a belt. Ordered the light bearing Enigma with a Floodlight and Modlite PL350 WML. I’m looking forward to upgrading my concealment game big time!
I bought a JM Custom Kydex Wing 2.0 specifically for the Enigma, I'm just waiting for them to be in stock again. Normal go to holster is the JMCK "George'.
Can conceal in ranger panties. I called it a chastity belt because I didn’t understand it. I was an uninformed critic. I have eaten my words. Probably won’t need another kind of holster again. I’ve had g code, t rex, tier one and I’m not going back
I don't know man, I think you do become a ninja with this thing. I have it setup for a 365XL and even when I wear more fitted shirts the gun completely disappears.
My dad has issues with belt carry because he has a stoma at approximately his appendix area. I'm wondering if this might be useful to someone in such a situation and if Phlster has any thoughts.
I wanted to like it, however after having it for some time now, I do not see anything beneficial too me than my normal IWB setup, the gun, holster, belt body style and operational daily enviornment. Just like other pieces of equipment and concealed carry, different setups and equipment work differently.
Love that you trash on side-car style holsters by calling them "cod pieces" (here's a hint: it can't be a cod piece if it's concealed) but then you'll rep these contraptions, including the Phlster Flex, like they're somehow different. Not saying Phlster doesn't make good shit, cause they definitely do and I own a few of their products but damn if you guys aren't tribalistic about these things.
Well maybe you could drop the asinine cod piece term especially since you now seem to be competing in that market. We have enough issues with the anti-gunners accusing us of carrying guns to compensate and you're playing right into their hand.

As a dude who lives in Florida and wears shorts pretty much all year long, the Enigma is awesome. It makes carrying so much easier!
How is it sitting down?
1:23 Police: “Sir you cant run around town naked except for a pistol”
Me: “ but a cop told me i could”
I have a 642 in a city special in my enigma. It’s the greatest thing to happen to concealed carry..pretty much ever.
"And you can wear it neked if you need to...or want to." (insert awkward eye movement)

I need this. It's encouraging to see innovation in the industry.
FYI if you buy one and hate it, you will easily get your money back in the phlster FB group or forum.

I just wrap the chord around my junk. More stable than my leg.
Is the light bearing enigma pretty long or does it conceal the same as the non light bearing? Thank you 🙏

Amen!

Good stuff !!!

My stomach is a little above my appendix.
So you're saying that my 500 mag in an enigma wont be as hidden as the footsteps of a navy seal?
Pretty sure that contraption was first used in the movie Seven...
Lol ouch

It’s primarily for when you don’t wanna wear a belt Or need to be super covert
I love mine, no weight on my pants
Awesome-great review.

its not tribalism when it is focusing on articulable issues

@@Hawkeye308 I'd rather educate people so they can make better decisions
You don't take criticism well, do you?
Not seeing how you came to that conclusion. I am not competing in the holster market either btw.
