The overtime was insane, back and forth, still no goal, so we go to shootout and kuzmenko scores to make the win, good job canucks
Must be hard for the Flames to have their playoff hopes all but extinguished by what is basically a skills competition.

Calgary have 7 less wins than Winnipeg but are at 1 point in the standings, they have 16 ''loser'' points in ot/shootout they only have themselves to blame ! Hope it will raise the utility of the ot loser point that team gets tho... It's absolutely unacceptable that the Jets could be out of the postseason with 7 more wins than Calgary who could be

By that logic team would stop to play defensive to go to overtime to get a sure point cause they could only have 2 or 1 instead of 3
Team would try more to win in regulation and it would be better for the game in general! Nothing on the Flames, I like the team, but for me it is kind of illogic that a team with less wins than anoter could be in the playoffs. It would clearly not be perfect but better imo
If you not agreeing, just get rid of the point in OT and bring games to continuous 5 on 5 ot 2 points if you win in regulation, 1 if you win in ot, 0 if you lose in OT
Or
Bring back draws
2 points for a win (any win), 1 point for a draw (after 5 minutes or 10 minutes of 5 on 5 ot) and 0 for a loss (any loss)
There's a lot of way to correct this situation

Great win to beat the Flames! They did blow a 2-0 lead, but win in the shoot out.
Unfortunately, this win is another case of "too little, too late"!
Even if the Canucks has a 25 percent chance of getting Bedard that means they have a 75 percent chance of not getting him. Getting in the habit of losing by tanking is not Tochettes way of thinking. So it should be anaheim St. Louis San Jose Montreal Vancouver detroit I pick st louis

Once Canucks go to shootout, should not ask the top guns to go for the shootout. They don't need to prove anything in shootout...finish 7th or 8th (rather than 9th or 10th) is much more important than earning few more few more points from shootout...
