30:12 Great work! Safety note clamp thin metal to the drill press table with wood backing. Grandpa Ross
Thanks!
My drill press table is weird and makes clamping things to it extremely inconvenient lol
Nice work i like handle shape and repurpoing of the axe handle. I like how old tools tell a story and you just added a new chapter to this one. If the blade was shorter you could have tried a potato patina.
Is that where you stick the blade in a potato and let that patina it? If so I could have used multiple potatoes.
@@Duckrabbit_Forging that's correct the acid in the taters will etch the blade very dark almost black.
@@StrayWolfForge dope
I'll definitely do that at some point the future
nice work brother! i just did a similar video and actually cut some tomatoes towards the end!
The cutting footage I did got lost and I was given this knife to restore and the original owner wanted it back so I don't have it anymore lol.
Beautiful
Beeg knoife !

3:20. my brother in christ. get a harness for your camera.
Its in the Amazon cart lol
Has been for months
I don't know that I'd use it as a macheté, as small as it is. However, I think it could be a camp staple for slicing tomatoes or peeling potatoes. Nice work!
Lol yeah
Gotta remember it was significantly bigger brand new, between the makeshift rehandling and the sharpened in recurve
