I mean China has 1.4billion people, there's definitely a lot of very attractive people. It's just we never see them since China is censored so heavily in the west.
I can see this channel blow up! Subscribed! Your accent is great! I am currently in China studying Chinese myself, hope to reach this level in the future!
Wow that accent is much harder to understand than the usual Fujian i'm used to I mainly just watch Comprehensible Chinese videos for my learning, I'm 3 months in What do you do ? Mainly input as well ?
Both hot actually. Bro, can you tell how you learned chinese? Is main secret = lots of time, like several years, trying to listen, speak, read (different apps, youtube, etc)? Like have the language all the time in your life. Or did you do something more intense? I'm actually a 'polyglot' myself, if 4 languages are enough for that... But i learned those during childhood and many years after. But Chinese is completely new and different, that's why i'm asking.
Learning Japanese rn I can tell you that there is never a shortcut for learning a language. You might find different approaches work better for you, but it mostly just comes down to spending a lot of time and staying consistent
Hepsima tells the history in his videos repeatedly. After a few words Mandarin (the formal go-between language in the Chinese nation state), the typical reaction is "your Chinese is so good - how come you can speak it so well?" My answer would have been "because I have taken the trouble to learn it." And I might have added, "from what I hear, I put a lot more effort in learning both my English and my Mandarin, than you put into your English," if I were him, in many cases. His approach to Mandarin was what is called "immersion". And incidentally that's how all humans start learning their mother's tongue (its "prosody") - during pregnancy, in the womb, immersed in the fluids, still, already. Which means you have a disadvantage if during pregnancy your mother stayed at home alone and she did not get exposed to cackling people around her, and her attempt to match that. Immersion, in study, means you go into the culture completely - dive in, Just Ffing Do It. He did that in some Chinese online computer game that I don't know - starting with juveniles, the first words he learnt were "urban dictionary" where culture and civilization have gone separate ways. Subsequently, he must have followed a more scholarly approach. His approach, accidentally, to become familiar with the prosody first, made speaking and listening/hearing easier in the scholarly (that he calls self-study) phase that must have followed. Learning the script requires a Mandarin study approach, learning word-character combinations and from there advance to the next level. Cognitive/social psychological research indicates that humans need 2 years of a full-time job to master something. The other variant is that we need 10,000 repetitions for atomic tasks, like making a cartwheel in the gym - or 10,000 hours for complex tasks, like becoming a master pianist. Which means you cannot master something in 2 years if you start from scratch. It also means that "talent" requirements are not material: what you need is determination and persistence to put the hours in (provided there are no handicaps). Hepsima has been learning/studying for some 4 years now and at 2 hours every day he would have been at it for almost 3,000 hours - 73 weeks of 40 hours intense studying at research university level. He has focused at everyday conversations as in these videos, the computer game type conversations, some typical student conversation, and some travel-related. Then he added Chinese rap "poetry" and some elected old idiom (sayings, mottos). As/when he says his Mandarin is not as good, this is the socially expected answer to a compliment between Chinese people, but it may also be the truth, from this analysis' point of view. If that strategy is how he worked and it puts a limit on the vocabulary - Mandarin grammar is plain simple - then the hours/day might be 1 or less, even. That's still a lot and significant and considering the fluency in the conversations (responses from natives) he does very well in these contexts. I always wonder when he ends the conversation in the video, if there is a "private" follow up ;)
idk bro, cardio-wise sure, but slowly losing them gym gains cuz you can't be as consistent with the gym as you can in normal conditions yk. Before the army I benched 120kg but now probably only 105
Attractive enough for gays, but probably know you aren't interested 😂. No reason to chase someone not interested and risk being exposed while in military. From the US, I was in the Marines for 3 years and got out in 2015. It wasn't a place to be openly gay in. The guys dropped enough anti gay talk that it's best to just stay hidden till you got out of the military. My unit in particular had many that would talk about what they would do if someone in our unit was gay. So I wasn't out while in the service. Though it's strictly voluntary here so I was fine with it because I didn't expect a serious relationship while in the military anyways.
Your Chinese is pretty good. How long have you been learning for🤔 I have myself been studying Chinese for a little bit more than one year now. I find the language both challenging and fun at the same time😚✌🏻
