Using Ford Fiesta 1.4 D from 2012... The way it handles is just awesome... We do have Harrier Vw Ameo 1.5 TDI MS Dzire 1.2 P... But the feedback from the steering of fiesta is a league ahead of these vehicles... High speed stability cornering is way better than my other cars in our garage... And the most important thing still the service is much better than VW TATA and Maruti...
😂😂😂 agreed for handling and dynamics point. Service far better than Maruthi ? Real joke. Maruthi has poor built but service is league ahead than any other in the country.
Idk if every brand does this but Ford dealerships are still servicing the cars very well. It's surprising how busy the service area looks as if they are still selling cars. Mustang was also the most value for money supercar available in India. If I had the money I would have definitely bought the discounted Endeavour during their pullout.
Its a govt mandate that any automaker that leaves India should provide service and spares for, I believe 10 years or something. Chevrolet also has service centers that are still open.

What an engine aspire tdci has, Ttres spin even in 2nd and 3rd gear if there is little less grip on road and what a reliable product it is. Mileage is superb too❤. But I think Ford should make a come back with better strategy yhis time. Waiting for that day
I have 3..2 endeavour and now unfortunately time has come to change it and since months m unable to find a suv close enough to replace this legend ….😢 I love you Ford why did u do this
I own Ford Fiesta 2011 model. Done 2,80,000 km. The engine, Gear box is untouched. The only maintenance i had tyres, battery and once clutch. assembly. A wonderful car, never broke down in the middle of road. Still commuting to work. The only reason they failed due to poor availableability of spares and high cost.
The EcoSport is still on sale in Canada, it shocks how much variety ford has in the western world compared to what they had in india. Maybe they wouldn't able to price some of their existing cars like fusion, focus good in india but they should've kept more effort, Figo, EcoSport were good, endeavor was superb in its class. Well , summary is they got the study wrong on India.
Still driving a Figo 2012.......We have an Endeavour in the family...What brilliant cars... It makes me sad that I would never be able to own an Endeavour ever now.. Wish they would have brought the Ford Territory in India to atleast have an offering in thr Creta/Seltos range....But ALAS...😢😢

my observation is that they played a final gamble by leaking ecosport facelift testing which obviously backfired as the car which was easily selling from 5000 to 6000 pm reduced to almost zero as people decided to wait for the facelift... my theory is that they should have waited and launched a facelift for eco sport and see how the buyers reacted.. but whatever time they were in indian market they really created a niche customers who enjoyed its performance and also one of the most professional customer service
Good explanation and They were good at innovation though small set of cars , each car was very good, but only driving enthusiastic people buying Ford and remaining going to Maruti or tata , Eco sport gave big challenge to all small suv segment
as someone who owns a freestyle diesel, it's very sad that ford left india cause everytime i sit behind the wheel of any other car i just miss the driving feel of the freestyle. ford should def make a comeback with their SUV lineups and price aggressively they'd do really well
Ford didn't just ignore updates, they degraded ecosport audio system from SYNC 3 to some nonsense with no android auto/ apple carplay without change in price of car. They didn't even provide sync 3 as an option. Atleast VW restarted with Virtus and Slavia. Ford never bothered to fit in Indian market and kept pushing their big machines in US and ignored our market.
Agar Ford India se nahi jaati, toh aaj Ecosports Diesel mere ghar pe hoti. We own Figo 1st gen diesel clocked 1.7 lakh Km in 9 years. Log kehte power nahi hai phalana dhimkana. Bhai car on paper nahi roads pe chalti hain!! Figo had the best ride and handling combo which can never ever be matched by Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra or Maruti. It was only surpassed by even more quality cars like Punto and Polo. Ford ki koi bhi diesel car Main bina test drive ke khareedne ko taiyaar hoon. The driving dynamics, handling, robustness, planted feel at high speeds, torquey meaty midrange and efficiency is unmatched.
I always love these videos you create on the success and failure stories of automobile giants. Please give credit to your video editor, what an amazing job of adding clips from the internet to make the video interesting. I laughed out loud when I saw the Gangs of Wassepur clip....too good.
I think you should make a video on Maruti suzuki...like why they don't bother about giving consumers performance oriented cars unlike other brands ( most of them), why they are so much relying on mileage factor....
Hey Fasbeam, I have a budget of 20 lakhs and i love premium cars like Audis, BMWs, land rovers..etc., because they feel planted on road as well as have superior built quality. So my question is shall i go for used luxury cars or a brand new jacked up Koreans
I own Ford ecosport and I can tell you that even now it’s competitive and great car from safety and build quality. In 2017 my titanium came with 6 air bags, hill hold assist, Traction control, infotainment system although not touch enabled but a quick after market does the job and let’s not forget driving capabilities compared to other cars. I will never sell it, it still operates like brand new and maintenance is cheaper than my Hyundai Verna
You forgot one important reasons most foreign car manufacturer fail in India…the massive predatory taxation, sometimes 100% markup on ex factory price, that forces them to cut corners to offer bars to price sensitive Indians
I own ford ecosport petrol 1.5 dragon engine.. what a machine.. loving it.. About features, ford ecosport had traction control when even creta didn't had. Floating entertainment system, when others had in dashboard. TMPS was on a 10 lkh vehicle 5 yrs back, and the list goes on and on. We failed ford in India . People loved tin boxes with high milage. Drive dynamics kon dekhta hai india main. Now tata has started to offer on Nexon but at a cost 1.5 times Ecosport priced. Mu frnd has creta. I drove that for almost 500 kms. Features loaded, drives like a car with 4 wheels and on pot holes and bad roads it bounces like a bullock cart. Horrible or can say boaring driving experience. Conclusion is : i love my Ecosport❤❤❤❤.. milage 12 ki hai but tank chalaneka maja alag hai boss.
Similar case is going to happen for MG. personal experience: MG Astor base model only cost 12 lks on road. What a car, features loaded, driving perfect, service good but people will go for creta and seltos. 😂😂.. Base Model : style, so check out.
I love my Ford Figo diesel 1.5 (2015), Performance, mileage, service, comfort all are best in the segment till now. But ford also discontinued the hatchback cars worldwide 🤔 😕 . We all now have forgotten 😪 fun to drive hatchback cars.
It was a chicken and egg situation with India. They mainly left to focus primarily on their highly profitable markets and protect their brand share there - US and Europe. The products there are really cutting edge and very popular. I don’t believe their focus is on Asia at all.
The reason ford left was due to low sales, but low sales were due to higher prices, but higher prices was due to robust build quality and better engineered car, further govt taxes it even further which resulted even more costlier cars. Ab to 2 lac ki alto 6 lac mai atte hai. For indians only thing matter is kitna dete hai and resale.
Owning a car here is a luxury and kia/Hyundai gave that luxury at cheaper price with some reliability and recently with some build quality (crashed 2022 creta owner)
A good analysis and case study. Tho I'd like to add that it's not entirely that the customers don't value performance, it's just that it probably wasn't marketed as well to actually make any difference. Ford always marketed their smaller cars like Figo/Aspire, Ecosport, etc as "family cars" and never expanded much on the performance aspect. Secondly, performance was just one of the very few USP that the cars offered, along with maybe the structural build quality (way above 5 stars yea?) And not much else that felt "upmarket". Features are one thing but what's the point of a "performance" car that looks like it was made in the 2000s? I could just buy a Civic from 08 for less price and still end up with more features and conveniences, so what did something like the Figo offer that its rivals didn't? Another reason could probably also be that they never bothered to expand their lineup, probably because of the huge losses they were suffering from, and relied too much on the following that the Ecosport and Figo created. Remember the Fiesta sedan from 2014? Yea that was a thing and who knows why they killed it off. Mustang, the iconic, world renowned pony car? Yes let's offer that with just an auto because why bother offering the gearbox that most people prefer in it right? Never bothered with the Fusion/Mondeo when the D segment was thriving. Tax structures in our market were probably also another nail in the coffin but if their losses were the biggest reason, then perhaps their demise was set way before we even noticed.
I still miss my Figo whose driving dynamics were at different level. I've driven i20, wagonr, ertiga and indica. But none of them were close to it in terms of handling and Driving Dynamics. I'm waiting someday to drive Polo.
I am using my fifth IKON, unlike other foreign companies, they neve compromise interms of quality, the service centers and the local mechanics who are unable to repair Ford gives free advise not to buy, people who never touched Ford gives free advice on not to buy..still my 14 yrs old ikon goes above 160..I am also using another car but still Ford is the best, I am just gonna keep it..come what may..once driving on road near a diversion, a politician roll down his window in fortuner, asked me ..is ikon goes this much fast?..he was cruising at 140..I over took him at 160., Spares a big issue..but will manage.
by averaging 10.52km per kWh. The new Ford Mustang Mach-E has set a Guinness World Record for efficiency in an electric car, averaging 10.52km per kWh on an 1,352km route between John o' Groats and Land's End.
I think Ford's market study was well ahead of times, example are Fusion and Freestyle. if they are in the present scenario with proper updates versions it will be competitors for ignis, exter and punch..

I miss the Figo 1.5 TDCI Diesel way too much. It was a rocket and handled very well. ❤❤❤. The build quality was top class. But, rightly said ,it missed out on a lot of important features, which the Swift and i10 offered.
End of the day engine is more important than the features...just a touchscreen audio, reverse parking cam will do the business but our ppl are so obsessed about sunroof, auto ac, start stop system, keyless entry etc etc
We had the same model bought brand new on 2012, we still use it as our main car. Till now it dosen't had any body sound, engine is super reliable, during those 12 years we din't have any engine problem. What a fantastic car.
@@vijayendranvijay4538 Correct. For me as an enthusiast, I miss the Figo Diesel just because of its engine, handling and built quality. Sadly, for the rest who were looking for VFM, Figo was just not the right choice for them and hence preferred the Swift or i10.

Unfortunately they left as their US headquarters took a decision. Sad but true. 💯🤘🏻
@@3rdclasstatamahindrabajajRE their service is great but build is way to bad
Idk if every brand does this but Ford dealerships are still servicing the cars very well. It's surprising how busy the service area looks as if they are still selling cars. Mustang was also the most value for money supercar available in India. If I had the money I would have definitely bought the discounted Endeavour during their pullout.
this is the problem! calling mustang as a supercar?

Its a govt mandate that any automaker that leaves India should provide service and spares for, I believe 10 years or something. Chevrolet also has service centers that are still open.

Waiting for OG Endeavour (Everest) to Make a comeback in India 😍🔥
Imagine they launched Suburban 🤯
@@Jack-tk1is crazy 🥵🔥
I think new endeavour should come in India even if it come CKD unit like kodiaq and tiguan
Biggest question is - How will they sell it through? Dealers would not trust them again.
I have owned figo diesel 2010 and now aspire tdci sports edition 2017 model, brilliant products, bt old figo had more weight and stability. What an engine aspire tdci has, Ttres spin even in 2nd and 3rd gear if there is little less grip on road and what a reliable product it is. Mileage is superb too❤. But I think Ford should make a come back with better strategy yhis time. Waiting for that day
I have 3..2 endeavour and now unfortunately time has come to change it and since months m unable to find a suv close enough to replace this legend ….😢 I love you Ford why did u do this
I miss the Figo sooo much... It was a genuinely good product. Such a shame they didn't givve them proper upgrades at all.
Please make videos like this.. Love ur case studies.. ❤️♥️
Ford had made the 1st mini Suv in the Ford Fusion (read: Con fusion). But it was too early for indian market
It was a station wagon 😊
I own Ford Fiesta 2011 model.
Done 2,80,000 km. The engine, Gear box is untouched. The only maintenance i had tyres, battery and once clutch.
assembly.
A wonderful car, never broke down in the middle of road.
Still commuting to work.
The only reason they failed due to poor availableability of spares and high cost.
Miss this legendary brand 😢
I love such to the point and less than 10 mins videos.
I Miss Ford So Much 😢
I miss FreeStyle and Ecosport from Ford.
Polo from VWG.😢😢
Still driving a Figo 2012.......We have an Endeavour in the family...What brilliant cars...
It makes me sad that I would never be able to own an Endeavour ever now..
Wish they would have brought the Ford Territory in India to atleast have an offering in thr Creta/Seltos range....But ALAS...😢😢
Please do case study of Indian car companies Tata and Mahindra too next Faisal sir!!,by the way loved your case study on ford.We need more content like this😍
He should do failed cars by tata and mahindra.
Mahindra - rexton, marazzo, verito vibe, quanto/ nuvosport.
Tata- aria/ hexa, tigor. Altroz
😢😢😢 I had figo such a nice car and was thinking to upgrade to Ecosport..
Figo was like a family member to me , an emotion .. while writing this comment it still makes me emotional that Ford is gone.🥺🥺🥺
my observation is that they played a final gamble by leaking ecosport facelift testing which obviously backfired as the car which was easily selling from 5000 to 6000 pm reduced to almost zero as people decided to wait for the facelift... my theory is that they should have waited and launched a facelift for eco sport and see how the buyers reacted.. but whatever time they were in indian market they really created a niche customers who enjoyed its performance and also one of the most professional customer service
Good explanation and They were good at innovation though small set of cars , each car was very good, but only driving enthusiastic people buying Ford and remaining going to Maruti or tata , Eco sport gave big challenge to all small suv segment
I really miss the Endeavour! ❤
Its because of the uneducated buyers in the market who think there's nothing better than goo-tuner
Reallymiss endeavour tho ❤
When they removed spare wheel in ecosport, the time was nigh.
Seems Ford is coming back
Any New brand entering in the Indian auto market should learn from KIA. What they did in just a short span of time is absolutely astonishing.
Figo is a gem of vehicle which audience didn’t understand
Proud to be Ford Figo 2013 Titanium owner. Still kicks ass to this day and age, ngl.
as someone who owns a freestyle diesel, it's very sad that ford left india cause everytime i sit behind the wheel of any other car i just miss the driving feel of the freestyle. ford should def make a comeback with their SUV lineups and price aggressively they'd do really well
How much mileage you are getting?
Freestyle Diesel is a beast.
Please make second part and elaborate how renault nissan and vw twins stayed afloat in India
Yaaa ford was good brand they gave us many fun cars like fiesta 1.6 , ikon, mustang . But very sad thing they already made the ecosport facelift
Ford.. its an emotion.. The company lives every indian heart❤😔💯
The driving dynamics, handling, robustness, planted feel at high speeds, torquey meaty midrange and efficiency is unmatched.
i am sad as an ecosport owner it has so much potential

Proud Owner of Ford Aspire Titanium ...simply of its driving comfort & performance.
I always love these videos you create on the success and failure stories of automobile giants. Please give credit to your video editor, what an amazing job of adding clips from the internet to make the video interesting. I laughed out loud when I saw the Gangs of Wassepur clip....too good.
Recently bought 2nd Hand Ford Ecosport 1.5 Tdci beast to enjoy the last stage of Diesel and Ford 🥹🥺
I think you should make a video on Maruti suzuki...like why they don't bother about giving consumers performance oriented cars unlike other brands ( most of them), why they are so much relying on mileage factor....
Ford might have failed but if they return thier comeback will be insane
brand value image is still fresh in indian minds🎉
Hey Fasbeam,
I have a budget of 20 lakhs and i love premium cars like Audis, BMWs, land rovers..etc., because they feel planted on road as well as have superior built quality.
I really hope Faisal makes a video on the ford comeback in india that is going to coming soon
The ford i miss the most is 3.2L endeavour what a lovely car the best part is we got the last batch of 3.2 endeavour
I have a ford aspire tdci diesel and it has 40000 km and still smokes new salvia 1.0 petrol in drag races
Own a 2017 figo aspire petrol and m still not stopping to test the limits to 160-170... the body strength and stability still unbeatable.
Next case study i would like to see about Nissan & Honda.
We have EcoSport Petrol, 2018 model. It’s such a gem that I don’t enjoy driving any other modern cars, be it of any company.
Owning a car here is a luxury and kia/Hyundai gave that luxury at cheaper price with some reliability and recently with some build quality (crashed 2022 creta owner)
Bro please make a video on fiat, Mitsubishi as well as chevyy
Ford is coming back to India 🎉
Ford should have launched a competition car for Creta… then they would have survived.
Small diesels from ford didnt have automatics and paired with a heavy clutch people went looking elsewhere
3:22 ❤ Ford Endeavour 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I still pine for the Endeavour man! One of my absolute favourites.
I bought a diesel figo in September 2011, Ford Ecosport diesel in 2017, fantastic cars to drive.
I still miss my Figo whose driving dynamics were at different level. I've driven i20, wagonr, ertiga and indica. But none of them were close to it in terms of handling and Driving Dynamics. I'm waiting someday to drive Polo.
Ford ecosport 2017 synce 3 touch screen BA Tpms abs ebd 6 airbag ECS hil hold yeh sab ata tha jo abhi aa raha hai
Clean video with no music and high amount of information 😊
I think Ford's market study was well ahead of times, example are Fusion and Freestyle. if they are in the present scenario with proper updates versions it will be competitors for ignis, exter and punch..
Think of an updated version of figo/freestyle, less curvy and more sporty with creases, DRLs and all. Oh my I can't stop imagining. WV has stopped selling polo and this vehicle could have taken the spot of India's hot hatch 😢
Will honda comeback?? Make a video on Elevate because now prices are revealed..
@@ankursaha4705 yes only coz of these ppl, ford had exited India.. same with the case of fiat
I own a Ford Freestyle...its a wonderful car...its way better than many other cars in that segments incase of performance, stability and even service cost is also very low ...i think Ford didnt advertise it in a better way...
