Blue tailed bee eaters are brightly colored small slender birds. As their name suggests, they have a blue tail and they catches bees and other insects in mid air. They are a common bird in indian subcontinent but their distribution is patchy. Like all bee esters they nest in mud banks of rivers digging a hole just like kingfishers. They could make nest in gently sloped ground also as we see in the video.
