It is for sale in Australia but they sell very few cars, even Porsche regularly sells more cars. I believe even in my country (Mexico) they sell more Peugeots than in Australia.
Just brilliant. 270 from a 1.6. They didn't need to produce a 2.0 because they'd already proved their superiority over other hot hatch makers. Consider that the Golf R makes just under 300. The 308 Racing Cup makes around 310 from the same 1.6.
It's a shame isn't it? Quite ignorant too. If you're one of those people who still thinks Peugeot is unreliable, check this out. www.reliabilityindex.com/manufacturer
Those carbon ceramics up front make this thing just STOP. I've driven one, and they are so effective, it hurts your face. Also goes like think, the car. Sounds decent too. Uses very little fuel for it's kW
"This kind of power takes some stopping, which explains why Peugeot asked Alcon Components to supply the braking system comprising ‘race-developed’ 380mm cast iron brake discs, mounted on aluminium hubs, with four piston fixed calipers. " You're right bro, my bad. They're still the best in the class, by far.
well ... you see it in every F1 race first round the tyre are a bit "meh" and than after 1 or 2 laps they start gripping more up to a certain point when they start losing grip but that's a f1 tyre ... you can compare them with normal road tyres
How can it be slower in acceleration than the GTI 250 version (6.4 seconds)? With 20 hp more and 6.7 seconds 0-100 km / h. If both weigh the same: 1,178 kg.
tyre. maybe the 250 version would run 6.9 on those tyres. 2wd cars are too sensitive... :D for worn tyres, cold weather, wet weather for everythig. theyre good in dry and hot weather and with almost perfect tyres (fwd especially)
Why couldn't they make it 4WD for some real competitive Mini super car to compete against the Golf R and the A450 AMG, I would of preferred it tbh than paying 27k on a car which you can buy a Golf R for similar price.
because we want them ? .... wtf is this command ? also dont know what you started driving as a first car but most EU people start with a hatchback. not everybody wants a half hacked up opel with a v8 in it.
Official time for 0-100km/h is 6.0 seconds. We had trouble launching this test car (numerous attempts) purely because the tyres were very worn from previous media tests etc. We're sure it could produce a quicker time in ultimate conditions.
I thought it'd do high 5's honestly. Just because cars that are heavier like Mazda 3 mps with very similar ( even a little bit less) power output could do 6 seconds flat easily or even quicker.
hanse81 yeh traction issues. Front wheels dont get much quicker than the current type r, VW Golf clubsport s or the megane RS 275 Trophy R which are all great machines. I guess six seconds flat for a front wheel drive car is still pretty impressive
With front wheel drive when you accelerate you need more weight over the front wheels. The best accelerating front wheel drive cars are big camry v6 engines etc because once the weight shifts to the back you have a really small contact patch touching the road and struggle for grip. So although these front wheel drive hot hatches are awesome at handling they suck at launching.
Puegoet get a bad rep for making stupid, slow vehicles. And it’s true they do make some awful cars, but people don’t realize that they make fun car enthusiast vehicles too!
wel peugeot is really good in everything, and at 1 point they where really good in making shit cars. but now 208 308 ect ect are PERFECTLY fine cars... but stil people just wat german because "the are better" wel X'D i'm laughing my ass off every time i pass a bmw or merc at the side of the road.
soundcheck starts at 1:40
I'm French and i never thought that Peugeot was sold in Australia. Very proud of France and this beauty!
Ils sont en Chine et pratiquement partout dans le reste du monde à part les US . Pourquoi pas l'australie ?
Peugeot has been sold here since before ww1
Just bought a 308 Active with the Puretech 1.2 turbo. Great fun - love having Peugeots in AU.
In Malaysia, Peugeot is a workshop car cause most of the time the car will in the workshop needing n waiting to be repaired.

Too bad people won't choose Peugeot because of reliability reputation.
It's a shame isn't it? Quite ignorant too. If you're one of those people who still thinks Peugeot is unreliable, check this out. www.reliabilityindex.com/manufacturer
It's not based on any opinion, just pure warranty data. They provide warranty cover across Europe
I would get this over Volkswagen Gti or R because it's not common and it's not like Volkswagen are that reliable.
2.5 bar ... it gona last like 100,000 mile max
The Facelift of this car is very sexy!!😍😍
I like the way they've made it look like two cars welded together in homage to the average 205gti.
Peugeot!!!!!❤😆
j'aim la 308💟💟💟💟💞💓😘

Whoah, whoah, whoah, stop there. Those are normal steel brakes, not carbon-ceramics. But I have to agree, they are really good.

Rafael C. I'm pretty sure this car holds the front wheel drive lap record on Winton due to it being able to brake stupidly late.
.
they forget to paint the rest of the car
Hhhhhh🤣🤣🤣🤣
Damn bro you got the whole quarantine laughing

Peugeot 🇨🇵🔥
Shouldn't worn tyres give it more traction (because it's dry)? Pretty sure there's an old Top Gear episode where they showed it.

It is a turbo engine you don't have to rev up that much to utilize the max power. This car is quicker with better shifting.
1.6 with turbo yes.
What is 0-100? 6.7 or 6.2?
We timed 6.74 - 6.2 is the factory claim (mentioned at the top of the results page). Sorry about the confusion.
You can't shift this car. Mine does 0-62/0-100 in 5,6 seconds. Besides factory claim is 6,0 seconds.
0 to 200?
0-100 at 3:18

bad shifting doe

What a fuckin beast omg , a wet dream :O
Funny, Astra opc line 1.6 200 is only 9 miliseconds slow in 1/4 mile race
DBZ IN THE MATRICULE
Too beautiful to be a peugeot
Only thing I don't like the car is the dual colouring.
What the song of the intro?

The golf r is worth 50k+ it you buy new :)
need more knee space at back/bigger door wing mirrors
Why do the car manufacturers think that buyers want performance HATCHES? Toughened up women's cars?
because we want them ? .... wtf is this command ? also dont know what you started driving as a first car but most EU people start with a hatchback.
not everybody wants a half hacked up opel with a v8 in it.
Is this a renault??
How this can be slower than 208 gti
DBZ 🔝
i hate this intro
Ruge como un león
You'd think it would do better with 200kws on such a light car. Mmmmm I guess they should've gone for a larger 2 liter

According to manufacturer 6,1 on the MPS. It's easy to see and understand that a car with 270hp to the front wheel will have problems with the grip.

ok super bagnole à 30000E c'est normal mais le moulin ne fera pas 100000bornes!
The French car une vrai merde
Sounds like a fartcan and surprise surprise wheelspin all the way.
Menudo pastel de coche

First of all, whoever was driving this car has no clue about driving and shifting! And second thing, those times are to slow for a car with 270 bhp!!!
Golf gti club sport THE BEST!!
