Knowing when to push the frames, applying a 50/50 and read and defend a 50/50, when to move and when to sit still, pressing immediately or delayed and when to gimmick. I think Tekken 7 fundamentals focus on space control but in Tekken 8 there are new ways to get in, to open up your opponent and to prolong pressure, so Tekken 8 fundamentals can be claimed to be good control on your and your opponents timing.
@Oolong-Dong Sure both games do need different skills, but if you notice, I think Pak style is more suited for shorter sets. Arslan Ash does often switch character when someone adapts to his style. I think Knee also said it in one of PhidX's videos.

Yeah, every pro player has his/her second pick that almost as good as their main, the only question is when is the best time to play with it. Some player just stubbornly pick his main all the time, never show their second. Some people are quick to pick the second once their main defeated. Some, like Farzeen, just wanted to play it out to disrupt the opponent mind, and what a great matches it was.
That was the best day of Tekken I've ever watched. I'm sure I've watched no less than 40 hours of streamed T8 this year and day one of this finals has been the highest thing. It was unexpectedly fantastic

You seem to be a fan following from India, but even if Farzeen played this character in some practice matches, he played few other characters as well. Playing in a tournament at a high level is not something he’s done with this character even in Pakistan. It’s very much a pocket pick.

I have been playing Yoshimitsu since Tekken 3 and Farzeen had way better understanding of Yoshi's moves and stances then I ever had. This was not a quick pick up character, he studied and labbed to get these combos down. RESPECT
This fight was one for the record books - Farzeen picking Yoshimitsu did not just come out from the left field; it sniped everyone from behind - from mile away - and with a M82A2! This match was the best in the whole group, and one of the best tournament matches with Yoshimitsu I've ever seen in Tekken. I hope to see Farzeen playing more with him in the future!
I think Farzeen might want to hide Yoshi to the finals but now he is sure in LCQ the chances are small so he take it out in this last fight. and he played not only solid but also innovative. this is his style Yoshi that no one saw before. don't forget this guy not got sponsored until this year and achieve so much has so much influence in Tekken esports games than other players. what amazing player and the sponsor who picked him gains way more than they paid.
