Hay, Big Wes where you been? I've been looking for another video. I really like those bed rolls too, never had one, but I don't really need one either. But if I was camping out much, I would have one. Thanks for Sharing. 🤠 🐴
Great video. I use a similar bedroll from JM Capriola (not sure who makes it for them) and instead of a pillow, I put a pillow case up in the head area when I roll the bedroll up and stuff it with extra clothes at night for my pillow. I also have a 10x10 canvas teepee from Sheridan Tent and Awning...great company.
Depends what i a. Doing. I use a combination of military kit, blankets, sleap systems and sleeping bag you use for camping. I may put in bak of car if cold.
Trying to decide between a Bivy bag and a Cowboy Bedroll. Do the same thing but do wonder what would be the most comfy a cold winter night here in Sweden. Great video!
Insane how far we've got. A modern sleeping bag + bivouac sac + mat is like 6 lbs total, and you're good 'till 20F. I know-I know, this one has more functionality, but throw in a 2 person tent and you're still well below a quarter of the weight.
@@lockgessner sure you can. The point was that compared to traditional materials like wool, linen or oilcloth, many modern synthetic materials have properties that almost seem like magic. Material science and industrialisation took us pretty far.
Good day mate, this is brilliant stuff. What's the dimensions of the swag/bedroll? I want to make one, I've got a mate who stitches canvas stuff who'd make one for me if I give the design and so I was researching, found this video really impressive. Please let me know, mate. Thanks. Cheers. 😊
If sleeping with wool next to your skin is uncomfortable, throw a regular bed sheet in the bedroll between you and the wool...problem solved.
Tends to make a cool damp sleep after more thsn a day in wet invironments
Good vid. Bedrolls, depending on who makes them, are unbelievably handy.. I have a Montana canvas and Ellis bedroll Set up for different times a year
Good demo. Thank you. Sheridan tent and awning make some good stuff. They are great people too. They are serious about their canvas and it shows.

Great video!
My bedroll is kinda heavy but comfortable. Just keep that in mind about weight.
Man this is the life for me.
I like it. I've decided to give this place my business in the future.

You can bedroll for WAY less than 80lbs and I can assure you a fancy lightweight setup wont even come close to the comfort

Interesting,,modern stuff,,tent and cooking, sleeping gear is smaller and lighter, still want one tho.
Wes. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Merry Christmas! And happy new year’s!
Bed roll is the way to go
Mold on the canvas.
That things purdy slick
Hello Wes hope you guys are safe and doing good with the wild weather you guys had stay safe
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers! We made it out good!
80 pounds are you kidding me
Mine weighs in at 28 lbs with a 3” memory foam.
I don't even think my bed in my house weighs 80 lb
When rolled up will it attach to the back of your saddle or is it too big?
It’s to big. Not saying that you couldn’t do it to get out of a pinch but I would recommend another pack horse.
Hii from sabah borneo..nice sharing bro..👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Mine has a slicker rolled up in it and my bag is some German army mummy deal the only thing sticks out is your face
You can't build a dang fire so why should I listen to anything else you have to say.
Hey how do you deal with these Texas mosquitoes when they are active? You use some kind of net? Great video by the way,
Yes or use the 3 foot head flap on the bed roll to cover your head and pray to the good Lord the mosquito spray works!
Awesome thank you sir
