God I just need a Persona x Yakuza game. I have so many ideas for it. Imagine all 3 Persona teams, in their 20s just taking Kamurocho by storm! Imagine it. THE GORO AKECHI EVERYWHERE SYSTEM
Yakuza: Like a Dragon feels highly influenced by Persona 5. Yakuza Team took a lot from Persona Games and put them in Like a Dragon. I think you should started with Yakuza Zero, but Yakuza 7 is a good starting point, since you don't need to play other games to enjoyed Y7. Also listening to Chinese Goro Akechi singing metal song about cooking people is great XD
18:17 I play mahjong 😭 After beating 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and almost beating Judgment I figured out mahjong and it's addictive. Started getting consistent wins the other night actually 😂🤣
I just bought Yakuza 0 with no hesitation and immediately got so addicted to it that I tried out Kiwami 1 and 2 and it was good. still planning to buy the rest
I have played Persona 5 royal during quarantine. It was my first Persona game. I have currently 350 hours with 2 playthorughs. And a few days ago I started with Yakuza. I knew the Saga, but I didn't have much information. I started with Yakuza 0 in PC, at the moment is interesting Sorry for my English .
P5R has killed my interest in Yakuza: LAD. I played it for 15 hours before trying out P5R, and hooo boy was it a mistake. After going through the fluid turn-based combat of Persona, Yakuza felt unpolished and clumsy. It almost feels like the game points out every bad aspect of Dragon Quest, and forces you to endure it. The main storyline apparently isn't grindy, but the grind you have to go through to complete the true final dungeon felt unecessary and poorly thought. The game felt like a chore and it's a shame, because Ichiban was actually a really likable character imo. I also found frustrating the lack of visual identity of Yakuza: LAD. Sure, fighting weirdos is fun at first, but the character designs lack of singularity. The game is beautiful, the textures put P5R at shame, but it feels like the graphics don't serve any point. The menus are lame compared to the amazing vendor menus in P5R. The clumsy RPG aspects combined with the slow-to-start story and the lack of visual singularity prevented me from completing the game. I'll definitely try out Infinite Wealth to see if some improvements are made.
Apparently, I watched this video before, just wanted to say I feel persona and Yakuza were a bit similar even before 7. I feel persona 5 Royal inspired new mini-games in Yakuza to, other thing, you can date hostess and developing your relationship with them before the female characters in 7, thought outside of 0 and Kiwami 2 most of the host characters are awful for me in different ways. Also Matt Marcel did great in Judgment...but he is the reason I can't play Yakuza 7 in English, he can`t Majima...I do believe there are English voice actor that can do his cartoony changes of voice from serious to funny, yes I believe Mark Hamill is not the only western person in the world who has such a talent, and no, i don't justify the lack of even attempting to do it with "is because is a Japanese thing."
You say both let you romance however you want? I disagree. So far both only allow heterosexual stuff. That's definitely not how I would describe however I want.
Hell no! Yakuza series is way better than Persona series. Also Yakuza fandom should not be mixed with the Persona fandom, Yakuza fandom is one of the most chill fandom in the gaming community
Persona and Yakuza could easily take a few cues from eachother. IMAGINE. Persona 5... WITH KARAOKE!
Or Yakuza... WITH MENUS LIKE PERSONA 5!

Finally, a video I can use to bring the people I made Persona fans into the world of Yakuza 😁

So you'd rather thwart progression of evolution?
@@TayT300 Yes, oh troll. I would. And I am indeed taking your bait here. Amuse me.
well, it fits to kiryus character as hes heterosexual
Kiryu is heterosexual and it should stay that way
