You sort of touched on it during the logging flights part, which I really need to start doing, but your mindset before and during flying is really important. If you’re stressed out or pissed off or sad or tired or distracted I think you’re much more likely to make a mistake or make a decision you wouldn’t normally have made. Sort of like the motivation argument, but I think motivation doesn’t matter, unless your motivation is just to act cool and show off, but I think there’s plenty of people who say paragliding saved their life, they used it to run away from something they were unhappy with. While it’s great to get into something because you can, it’s different to be drawn to something because you need to, because it will replace something that is killing you. Just my thoughts. Good video, many of the things you mentioned can’t be understated.

This video made me remember my beginnings in paragliding!
I allways logged my flights in detail, and you can learn a lot reading it from time to time.
And the last point you make is very important, about motivation.

Ari in the Air difficult mountain launches, risk assessment/ action taking when no apparent landing Is in sight, vol biv (if you’ve done any?, paragliding vacations/ trips tips, kiting/ groundhandling exercises beginner-intermediate-advanced. That’s what I could think of on the top of my head. Fingers crossed 🤞😉

Nice talk....good things to consider to get your head space in a good orientation.
I am an INFP by the way....hopefully that is suitable for beginners.

Really liked your #3 tip too many new pilots need to show less arrogance and ego and listen to the more experienced glider pilots on launch, who knows they may just learn something that pilot took 10 years to figure out.

Hey Ari!, for me its progression...50 hours in and i want to do wing overs and then a sat perhaps?? I don't have resources for SIV or a mentor on radio wiling to talk me through the first steps in real time. So its intermediate syndrome here I come! Love a vid on this if you haven't already. Love your vids, talk soon.

I think you're silly and why would anybody( (hate yourself and spend all this money?)) No matter why you want to go out paragliding, if you got the money go.
