So in the beginning he was doing a BD(Brain Dance), it’s basically experiencing someone else’s real life situation. So that guy actually did that, but David was watching and feeling all of his emotions and pain all the way up until his death as if he was doing it. TLDR, Virtual Reality that you can feel as if you were there.

Just a note on the image of the guy you used for the text of Trauma Team during the car accident is an image of a MaxTac agent.
MaxTac is a branch of the NCPD (Night City Police Department) that specializes in dealing with cyberpsychos.
They're armed to the teeth with the best of the best possible equipment and tools available.
TraumaTeam is its own private company that specializes in fast response time medical responses for its clients.
TT consist of security personnel and paramilitary medics; they're way deadlier than NCPD, but less than MaxTac.

Man I love playing this game and this series was a godsend from the goats Studio Trigger. They really captured the essence of this setting and I'm happy to see you guys enjoy this one.(Had some shit to take care of but i'll be back on that Patreon gang soon)
I might have to check the game out. When I first heard about it, everyone was complaining about all the bugs. But ive hear they've got it fixed now, right?
@@heatahandhustlareacts Yeah they have, I didn't play it immediately when it came out either, so I don't know how bad it was personally, but I never saw any bugs or crashes that were deal breakers when I started, and they've been dedicated to fixing them.

Basically, the beginning he was locked in a BD ( braindance is basically super VR ) and was reliving that cyberpsycho's last moments, that shit actually happened that morning ( the doc told him that it was still warm, a couple of hours old ) Doc hooked him up
the beginning is called a brain dance, its a concept from the game, basically you can live a moment through someone with VR

at the beginning, David was viewing what they call a "braindance". kind of like watching a movie in VR but they experience all the same feelings. so if they do drugs in the braindance, you can feel the effects, if they have sex, if they get murdered. so the guy at the beginning really went on the rampage, David just scrolled the BD afterwards
I wasn't gonna watch this but my friends hyped it up and I really appraciate this especially for the angle they take from the jump. These struggles be real
I started to laugh when the bully tenakas kid starts to push David with his pelvic thrust moves then started to do the noises on top that heatah saying “run it bruh” lol

Yah go dub for this one😂 sub watcher's don't like it but they got some big time hiters in the dub. And returned actors from the game and Giancarlo Esposito. Not to mention all the characters have the accents that they are sopose to have in the dub the sub left a lot of them out

The game and show take place in America and the dub made sure to get the accents right and the characters from the game do there voices as well so weird or not thats just how they are sopose to sound lol sub is fine tho I usually watch both to get a feel of witch I prefer

If you've ever played the game what happened in the beginning was essentially what is called a brain dive.
The events did happen but hours earlier and the perpetrator of those events died and his last memories and emotions were preserved and distributed for recreational purposes.

So that thing David was seeing in the beginning was called a brain dance (or a BD) it's basically a recording that you can experience the experiences of another person (so David 'felt' what the cyber psycho did as if he was him) they're used like fucked up movies.
Also some cyberpunk terms you may wish to know.
Nova basically means cool or awesome
Eddies are Euro-dollars, which is cash.
Preem means premium or top of the line.
Choom / choomba / choombata basically just means friend.

This comment is to help this channel in the algorithm.
HIGHLY recommend y'all to switch to SUBBED considering the fact that the VAs go HAM in the original. The dub is alright too with how is parallels the game side or things, but as an anime, the original far takes it home especially with some specific VAs.
When I tried subbed when the show first came out the subtitles were super off idk if they fixed it by now
