BEST Thing to Do in CAGAYAN DE ORO Philippines - Whitewater Rafting

Cagayan de Oro has been named the adventure capital of the Philippines and the whitewater rafting adventure on the Cagayan de Oro River is one of the big reasons why. It is a 2 hour tour that takes you through 14 rapids. In the rainy season, there is the option to take an even longer tour with more rapids. This was both Abby's and my first time to do whitewater rafting and I can't think of a better place to do it than in CDO because it is beginner friendly with safe and knowledgeable guides. The views are beautiful too. I absolutely recommend whitewater rafting when you go to Cagayan de Oro City.

My girlfriend lives 10 min from that river section! I was a guide in Colorado on the Arkansas River so really looking forward to running those rapids in Cagayan De Oro!

We did this 2 weeks ago and we had the same guide, Sir Carl and Kagawad.. they're very knowledgeable and funny.. it was a fun experience. BUGSAY is highly recommended.. i want to go back and try it again with my teenagers next time...

Actually most people that do this tour don't know how to swim. The guides and the life vests keep you safe 🙂
