As a man I really enjoy women's football and have regularly watched for many years now Arsenal women and of course the Matilda's because I'm Aussie along with the men's teams. The last Euro's was absolute class and I really liked the coverage and the quality of the games. So I don't want my next comment to come across the wrong way!
I don't get the one journo who had to push the gender narrative! He had to point out that only men organised the next tournament. Why didn't he comment that despite the committee being only men, they still are making decisions to promote women's football? I agree more women involved in the organisation would be great and have no issue how Serena etc answered the question. Just seems no appreciation of what is being done for the women's game from that journo, no matter who is doing it in it's promotion, but more trying to push a wedge between the genders. I have seen and enjoy so much how Arsenal women and men are pretty much united in the last few years just as a club and hope most other clubs are the same.
His was the only comment about gender in the whole press conference and every other journo concentrated on the football as it should be. I'm sure both teams would prefer the discussion to be about purely football. That journo seemed to have a different agender and the press conference didn't need it really. I hope more women get on these organising committee's but on merit and how they can benefit the sport, not just because of gender.
    The world game !!!!!

You have ro raise issues otherwise they'd think everything is OK and it isn't...I'd have gone in much harder than that journo! Pathetic that all 13 delegates were men...it's 2023😢

@@llwyde1104 like I said I agree more women would be great in this type of organising committee but why aren't they there? Why should the people who actually did put their hands up for a role cop criticism when they are clearly trying to do good things for women's football? What would it be like if they weren't there?
For me it was just everyone else concentrated on the football event and the teams more so than before. It didn't feel like a women's football presser just a football presser which I would think everyone wishes it to be like. I don't believe this press conference really needed this type of interference.
