Never heard of patty pan squash till now. Bruce said he’s eaten it . My ex husband hated squash so we never bought it and he refused to have a garden, bruce loves his garden and squash. Not much bruce does not like.

Looks delish! Maybe I will grow some patty pan next year in the garden. I have not grown them before. Are they bush like zucchini and summer squash?

Why did you scoope out the insides? Is it inedible? Did you mention what temp. to set the oven for the first baking of the squash? I assume that 400 degrees F. as during the second finishing bake period. Was 20 minutes enough cooking time? Do you eat the outer shell or do you leave that? Are they watery, are they stringy like spaghetti squash are? Does the flesh turn darker orange or stay white? How do you tell when they have cooked long enough? Are the soft? What seasonings are suited for these vegetables? Garlic, cinnamon, allspice? How many of these per person?

Ok so it's basically like a stuffed pepper but instead of a pepper it's the Patty pan. Do you fix them any other ways? I've never had Patty pan squash before and just don't know what to do with it!

You can cook them the same as any summer squash. They are really good fried.

My Rutabaga don't look half bad! not huge 14/ sized.. The kohlrabi a bunch of ()*&(& leaves (chickens or red worms). Brussel sprouts-junk! A lot to learn!!!
My goal was to make a Finnish Pasties from Deer meat neighbor gave me game warden shot when it was caught in his apple orchard, and I helped carve it (bucket list). he gave me back straps. That's a job opportunity I could do, butcher. I can fillet a northern, bass, it doesn't bother me. It's a job.
