Safe Lifting and Transferring Training for Caregivers

Heritage Senior Communities would like to share our very own safe lifting and transferring training video. It shows how to lift heavy objects using correct body mechanics and how to safely complete a one and two person transfer of a resident. This video was created specifically with the safety of our employees and residents in mind.

YES! GAIT BELT! I am happy to see this done in proper manner. So many people incorrectly perform lifting and transferring by placing arms under patient's armpits, which may cause injuries to patient!! Kudos!!

I hurt my back lifting my elderly mil off the toilet. She was dead weight and now I have to go back and take care of her for a couple of days until we can get her TB test and paperwork to get her into a facility. I'm terrified but this has been so helpful. Thank you!
