I've been doing BJJ for 18 years, Jean Jacques has always been one of my favorite bjj practitioners. Nobody does what he does. His knowledge and his ability to demonstrate/teach the moves is off the charts. Such an inspiration! I hope his students at his academy know how fortunate they are to be learning from one of the best in the history of this martial art.
Always excited to hear what this professor has in store. Everything is always so practical and easier to string together when I use his approach to the art
Awesome. Thanks so much Mr. Machado. Please bring back the student from a previous video who was wearing a suit and tie rash guard under his gi. He has achieved a minor celebrity status in my area. Blessings.
I've tried the second (emergency) escape a few times against white and blue belts. It seems to work well, but you don't end up in a tidy position--more of a scramble. (Yeah I know, if you're out of the sub then mission accomplished, but...)
So many defensive moves are made up in the moment; improvisational adjustments when back up plan A or B were no longer practical. Afterwards you reverse engineer the moves and a new escape technique is created.
These guy don't know how lucky they are (I bet) it would be my dream to live close by.
Try to learn from as many people as you can I try to visit other gyms even tho I have a home gym
This is pure gold.
I've seen a lot of escapes but never the fall back method. Looks like a winner.
true will try this today

I have a couple of go-to defensive moves to escape triangles, but that 2nd one JJM shows here is brilliant.
This is PhD level stuff. Amazing. I need to add these to my game.
JJM has such a refined understanding of the mechanics and principles of jiu jitsu it blows my mind.
I've been a Blue Belt for a year and I've never seen these escapes before. JJM is the 🐐

JJM is the smoothest mf I have ever witnessed. His explanations are pure gold. Love you, Grandmaster

Wow!! That was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the sharing! 😀
Awesome. Thank you for the great advice.
Wow, I look forward to try these escapes. Obrigado 🤙
Thank you, these are moves I’ve been looking for, cheers from a white belt Aussie

Otimo MESTRE...............OSSSSSS.........
Nice!!!!
Amazing
Ill have to give that 2nd option a try. Will these work with the triangle locked or just preemptive escapes?
4:12
You can just “stand up” out of a triangle if it’s locked in and your opponent knows what they are doing
A lot of people point their toes to the mats with the triangle lock up, watch out for your partners with that fall back method.

Он точно знает что показывает? Пусть против своего же веса и так же по физухе по пробует свои некоторые фишки.... Я бы с радостью посмотрел
