It's true though, it's waaaaay harder to downpick continuously versus resting for a second every couple of notes. You can even apply a lot of tension to hit the notes hard, then release it. So it when you play it it feels like: squeeze... release...squeeze... release
I watched many of your videos today. I'm new to your channel. Your music sounds very Opeth like. Great skills, make me want to practice and wondering how you do it🤘🏻
Dude...folks, this is sped up! Don't believe me?... Look at his hair movements No flow, just abnormal choppy jumps Shame on pretenders It only takes away from those who work their Azzez off perfecting their art/skills... just one man's very observant opinion
Is your pick going through the string on the palm mute? It looks like pick (downstroke), dead note, and the palm mute is either another downstroke or just resting on the string before the next picked note but i can't tell
I am not bashing your style and teachings and it sounds great. But.... it's a bit obvious right? of course you resting on those notes, what else would you be doing that split second? Anyway keep on shredding and its a great riff to practice your downstroke muscle
Jesus Christ ur sense of rhythm is unmatched man. R u a guitar teacher by chance?
This video was actually a lesson. Like literally right there ^
@@K_Calla no i realize that
All that metronome practice...
That's not Jesus.
yes he is my guitar teacher but i live nearby
Thank you so much for this lesson I will be using this pattern forever lol
Lol, "resting". That's like referring to blinking as "sleeping". So fckng good!
actually best analogy lmao

damn thanks!
are dead notes hitting the string with your palm?
what about riffs where there are no deadnotes but all downpicks in succession
Nah his pinky on the left hand, it’s like “fretting” but percussively killing the note instead getting a note :)
@@xyzyzx1253 thank you
Bruh I recorded myself down picking befor to see how fast I was and after watching this I’m significantly down picking 10x faster
You could just play bass…
Jesus getting the muting on the dead note into the palm mute is the secret hardest part
this is very helpful, will add this exercise to my daily routine :)
My Brother! I think we have something in common🔎🤔😂
@@_ErDna_ lmao Picasso o.g. djentleman
Def reminds me of learning slap bass! Lots of dead notes there for rhythm
Thank you for this, I'll definitely give it a try after work :)
