What an endearing story about ur mom. My 90 y.o. Mom fell 3 weeks ago and went from totally independent in her own home to now needing help on walker and can barely make a few steps before tiring out. So now she has to live with me and my husband. Her short term memory is slightly slipping too. Continue to treasure your mom.

Your bunnies are TOO cute! I LOVE the salad bar at Fogo de Chao. I thought I was the only one. My husband skips the salad bar altogether when we go. I could skip the meat, except maybe the chicken. I’m still laughing about VD. I haven’t heard that term since college. And, no I never had it. 😂 But the term was used then. My husband took our girls to NYC for their 13th birthdays. They still talk about it. He took our 24-year-old back this Christmas. She has always wanted to see NYC at Christmas. Too much Eloise at the Plaza growing up, I think. Did you go to the King Tut exhibit when it went through the states 15 years ago? My friend and I took our kids when they were in elementary school. Oooooh, that salad bar is amazing. It’s been a while since the last time I went but I’m still dreaming about it. I’m like you, the meat is ehhh, but the salad bar….everything. ♥️♥️♥️ Oh, NYC at Christmas time!!! 😍😍 My favorite. For our 10 year anniversary my hubby and I went and he had never been there before and now it’s the only place he wants to go back to. And my kids constantly ask about going with us one day. Hopefully, once mom is well enough to stay with friends we can take them. And I saw the Tut exhibit in the 90’s and last year another exhibit came. My son kept saying, have you seen enough dead people yet? And I was like, “it’s not just the dead people, it’s their stuff!!” 🤣😂🤣 It’s always nice getting messages from you. Sending hugs! ♥️♥️

Agreed, that’s the hardest part for me. I tend to buy the same brands, so I kinda know the colors pretty well and what to expect when I order online, but this way I can also take the card with me to the store and color match easily. Glad to know I’m not alone. ♥️♥️

Loved your mom story. It reminded me of my mother who was just a little grumpy in her old age. Well, she fell, broke her hip and ended up in a convalescent hospital to recover. Thank goodness she went there instead of my house. I was working at the time. But when my sister and I visited for the first time, Mom was so happy, funny, a delight to talk to. We thought we must have the wrong room. Bad thing was, we couldn't get any of that happy juice she was getting at the hospital to take home with us. She recovered quite nicely tough. Valentine's Day, yes VD day! I know those initials. Perhaps those are initials of some significance for a few couples that celebrated the holiday a little too early in the relationship. Great video. You always leave me with smiles. But my husband thinks I'm weird when I'm laughing with my laptop.
I’m so glad your mom healed up well and that you got to experience her with a good attitude. That happy juice really does have some perks. My mom is usually always happy and entertaining but on that magic potion she is a one man show. Whew, that was a long scary day. And as for VD day, Yeup….those slightly promiscuous folks, certainly do add to my distaste for the day. Not to be mean (but kinda to be mean) serves em right🤣😜😂. I used to tell the family members to be nice and don't tease the patient until later. I have stopped putting my makes on FB cuz then people want me to make them and I don't really feel like it.....started an instagram acct but keep getting posts from weirdos, so that's a bust. Love, love, love Cindy Kitty..I can relate. Re: VD...well, I got married on 2/13, Friday the 13th...day before VD. Husband thought it was too corny to get married on VD. That marriage lasted about 18 yrs and the best thing out of it was my 2 sons......so I agree about VD. Overrated. LOL!! Hope your Mom's surgery goes well.
Oh, I bet we could trade some stories!! 🤣 My mom can handle general anesthesia fine, but whatever this cocktail was…..nope, nope, nope! 😜 Thankfully, she’s back to her old self now. And oh honey, my mother has had one of those vd marriages too, 🤦🏻♀️. Galentine’s day is overall a much better celebration. And yep, I too am over making things for others, toooooo much stress and worry. Thanks for a great video! I loved all the stories. You need to go to Scotland. I just went for 10 days over my Christmas break. I walked an alpaca to Loch Ness and got up close to highland cows. I’m going back in July so that I can stand up paddle board on Loch Ness and hopefully see puffins up close. Oh, I also crocheted a tiny Nessie and took her to Loch Ness with me. Yup, I’m weird. Your videos always make me smile after a long week of teaching. 🐭

I work with dementia patients. Your story of your mom sounds like a memory care unit. A lot of folks can’t deal with these behaviors in their homes which is why they end up in care facilities. Wishing the best for you as I know how hard it can be.
Oh friend, I know you have some tales. My best friend used to work in a long term home and her stories, though shouldn’t always be funny, really were kinda funny. Mom never does well on these types of meds, ambien is listed as an allergy med for her because of this very thing. That stuff just puts her brain into a weird dreamlike state. But due to her heart issues, general anesthesia is off limits right now. Thank you for the support, this is definitely a phase of life that has been harder than any so far. Thank you for being a caregiver too. It’s not for the faint of heart. ♥️♥️♥️

I have been under and I went hysterical for my hubby and my wedding ring. It was a whole ordeal and trust me the nurses were so happy to be rid of me 😂 I missed your post about questions until after your deadline. I hope you do this again, it was a lot of fun getting to know you better. I laughed so hard at your "dream job". I don't work at hobby lobby, but I am a stocker. What a party she was havin' all by herself🤣! You guys are definitely my kinda family 🥰. My future mother-in-law has some crazy stories when she was recovering from surgery and under lots of medication as well. I did find that the patterns in that book is a little lopsided in that the increases/decreases are not even on the ends. I encountered similar results until I tweaked it a little bit and "fixed" it. In case you haven't figured out from our last chat, I'm ok with slightly inappropriate humor. My husband says I have the entertain level of a 10 yr old. Remember I work with a bunch of heavy equipment repair guys. 🤣🤣🤣 It's really scary when a loved one needs a major procedure. I'm sure your mom will do great. Back in 2003 my mom had a valve replaced. and one of her brothers is getting to have one of his valves replaced. The procedure has improved drastically since my mom's. My mom had a mechanical valve instead of the pig valve. She used to say at night when the house was really quiet, she could hear it "swoosh, swoosh, swoosh". Her cats kinda freaked out over it for awhile. My last name isn't that hard when you know how to break it down. It’s funny during one of the recent tests mom wanted a little more info about it, and the nurse said “I’m betting you’re more scared because they aren’t cracking your chest open and only going through your groin.” And when she said it like that mom, started feeling a little better. @@therumimillcrochet Both my folks had open heart procedures done the "old fashion way". We teased them about what brand saw the doctor used to cut the chest open. Was it a Craftsman, DeWalt or something else. Humor is the best medicine. My mom's valve replacement was because of heart murmur and that's why her brother is getting ready for the valve replacement. Heart murmurs are hereditary. That might be something for you and any siblings to check with your doctors about if a heart murmur is a thing. Looking forward to your next video. She has a condition where she throws off a ton of calcium, we deal with kidney stones constantly and now heart damage. Ugh. I hope everything goes well for your Uncle. We are the same…when mom had her first mastectomy we had bets on how much her boob weighed. The dr won that bet, 4lbs😂🤣

Many years ago I had an endometrial tumor that grew to be a 30 week pregnancy in less than a month. The entire family was making gueses on how much thing weighed. Even my grandmother. It was bigger than a basketball, but sadly only tipped the scales at 5 pounds. The uncles were very disappointed. They were all guessing 20 pounds and up. Go figure. 🙄

I just do a continuous round when I skip it. I have the same problem of it adding stitches. Unless I’m doing something that has to be perfectly round, like a purse or basket, I never do it. It just causes more trouble than it’s worth in my opinion. I hope that helps. 😃

What an endearing story about ur mom. My 90 y.o. Mom fell 3 weeks ago and went from totally independent in her own home to now needing help on walker and can barely make a few steps before tiring out. So now she has to live with me and my husband. Her short term memory is slightly slipping too.

Oh, NYC at Christmas time!!! 😍😍 My favorite. For our 10 year anniversary my hubby and I went and he had never been there before and now it’s the only place he wants to go back to. And my kids constantly ask about going with us one day. Hopefully, once mom is well enough to stay with friends we can take them. And I saw the Tut exhibit in the 90’s and last year another exhibit came. My son kept saying, have you seen enough dead people yet? Agreed, that’s the hardest part for me. I tend to buy the same brands, so I kinda know the colors pretty well and what to expect when I order online, but this way I can also take the card with me to the store and color match easily. Glad to know I’m not alone. ♥️♥️

Loved your mom story. It reminded me of my mother who was just a little grumpy in her old age. Well, she fell, broke her hip and ended up in a convalescent hospital to recover. Thank goodness she went there instead of my house. I was working at the time. But when my sister and I visited for the first time, Mom was so happy, funny, a delight to talk to. We thought we must have the wrong room. Bad thing was, we couldn't get any of that happy juice she was getting at the hospital to take home with us. She recovered quite nicely tough. Valentine's Day, yes VD day! I know those initials. Perhaps those are initials of some significance for a few couples that celebrated the holiday a little too early in the relationship. Great video. You always leave me with smiles. But my husband thinks I'm weird when I'm laughing with my laptop.
I’m so glad your mom healed up well and that you got to experience her with a good attitude. That happy juice really does have some perks. My mom is usually always happy and entertaining but on that magic potion she is a one man show. Whew, that was a long scary day.

I used to tell the family members to be nice and don't tease the patient until later. I have stopped putting my makes on FB cuz then people want me to make them and I don't really feel like it.....started an instagram acct but keep getting posts from weirdos, so that's a bust. Love, love, love Cindy Kitty..I can relate. Re: VD...well, I got married on 2/13, Friday the 13th...day before VD. Husband thought it was too corny to get married on VD. That marriage lasted about 18 yrs and the best thing out of it was my 2 sons......so I agree about VD. Overrated. LOL!! Hope your Mom's surgery goes well.

Thanks for a great video! I loved all the stories. You need to go to Scotland. I just went for 10 days over my Christmas break. I walked an alpaca to Loch Ness and got up close to highland cows. I’m going back in July so that I can stand up paddle board on Loch Ness and hopefully see puffins up close. Oh, I also crocheted a tiny Nessie and took her to Loch Ness with me. Yup, I’m weird. I work with dementia patients. Your story of your mom sounds like a memory care unit. A lot of folks can’t deal with these behaviors in their homes which is why they end up in care facilities. Wishing the best for you as I know how hard it can be.
Oh friend, I know you have some tales. My best friend used to work in a long term home and her stories, though shouldn’t always be funny, really were kinda funny. Mom never does well on these types of meds, ambien is listed as an allergy med for her because of this very thing. That stuff just puts her brain into a weird dreamlike state. But due to her heart issues, general anesthesia is off limits right now. Thank you for the support, this is definitely a phase of life that has been harder than any so far. Thank you for being a caregiver too. It’s not for the faint of heart. ♥️♥️♥️

I really enjoyed the longer video, I made a cat body while you chatted 🤗 I hope you Mom is doing okay and all goes well with her surgery. I have been under and I went hysterical for my hubby and my wedding ring. It was a whole ordeal and trust me the nurses were so happy to be rid of me 😂 I missed your post about questions until after your deadline. I hope you do this again, it was a lot of fun getting to know you better. I laughed so hard at your "dream job". I don't work at hobby lobby, but I am a stocker. I did find that the patterns in that book is a little lopsided in that the increases/decreases are not even on the ends. I encountered similar results until I tweaked it a little bit and "fixed" it. It's really scary when a loved one needs a major procedure. I'm sure your mom will do great. Back in 2003 my mom had a valve replaced. and one of her brothers is getting to have one of his valves replaced. The procedure has improved drastically since my mom's. My mom had a mechanical valve instead of the pig valve. She used to say at night when the house was really quiet, she could hear it "swoosh, swoosh, swoosh". Her cats kinda freaked out over it for awhile.

Thank you so much for the info on the heart valve stuff. We are scared. It’s funny during one of the recent tests mom wanted a little more info about it, and the nurse said “I’m betting you’re more scared because they aren’t cracking your chest open and only going through your groin.” And when she said it like that mom, started feeling a little better. It’s amazing at how they have advanced in medicine.

@@therumimillcrochet Both my folks had open heart procedures done the "old fashion way". We teased them about what brand saw the doctor used to cut the chest open. Was it a Craftsman, DeWalt or something else. Humor is the best medicine. My mom's valve replacement was because of heart murmur and that's why her brother is getting ready for the valve replacement. Heart murmurs are hereditary. That might be something for you and any siblings to check with your doctors about if a heart murmur is a thing.

She has a condition where she throws off a ton of calcium, we deal with kidney stones constantly and now heart damage. Ugh. I hope everything goes well for your Uncle. We are the same…when mom had her first mastectomy we had bets on how much her boob weighed. The dr won that bet, 4lbs😂🤣

Taking bets on the weight of body part is so fun. Many years ago I had an endometrial tumor that grew to be a 30 week pregnancy in less than a month. The entire family was making gueses on how much thing weighed. Even my grandmother. It was bigger than a basketball, but sadly only tipped the scales at 5 pounds. The uncles were very disappointed. They were all guessing 20 pounds and up. Go figure.

Several people have asked the designers for just the cactus pattern but they won’t separate it from the main group. I think the full calendar is around $20-$25 but I can’t remember for sure. When you skip the slip stitch and ch 1 do you just join? When I do slip stitch and ch 1 it seems to add stitches.
I just do a continuous round when I skip it. I have the same problem of it adding stitches. Unless I’m doing something that has to be perfectly round, like a purse or basket, I never do it. It just causes more trouble than it’s worth in my opinion. I hope that helps. 😃
