Bergman films where thrillers that featured a lot of faces facing each other and overlapping shadows, much like the style of what Colin and Greg where doing. However I have no idea what the fuck Ryan was doing.
@@WreckingWoodRyan likely hasn't seen any Bergman films, so he decided to subvert the genre. Colin is definitely better at aping film styles, he's seen a lot of them - good practice for improv and someone shouts out "Memento" or "Black Swan" as a suggestion. Better than running up to the camera screaming "I DON'T KNOW IT!!" like Tony Slattery.
No idea what Edgar Bergen has to with Bergman films (maybe Ryan did an intentional mishearing of the suggestion) but I don't care its hilarious and makes the scene all the stranger.
This scene is in my top ten WMLA, along with the party querks where Ryan breaks the neon tube and the bus stop where Yoda meets Jar Jar Binks (questionable impressions)!

Edgar Bergen and his puppet Charlie McCarthy.
@@antster1983 2:33 And Greg and Colin turn to confront him "Wrong Bergman."

@@antster1983 this happened again in another episode, where Ryan thought the style was "BIIIIIIIRRRRRDMAN!!!!"

Not gonna lie, I thought he said "Birdman"
Ryan implied he hadn't seen a Bergman.
Biiiiird Maaaan!
yeah that was THE funniest...they face each other, then face ryan together, COMEDY!!
Hilarious when Colin tries to keep the set up.
That Bergman bit is the most intelligent bit they've ever done.
The high school drama bit was great too. Colin holding up the set and Ryan waving at his parents were perfect
