perfect explanation, it is otherwise a nervewracking to wonder if the tires are correct. I just had a flat and the system was so useful to know when to pull over and check.
How long did it take for yours to completely reset? I just reset mine and drove 6.5 miles and it still did not reset. Thank you for posting the video as there are instructions out there, but I hadn't found a video until yours.
When I first watched this video it work for my Lexus GS 350, but now TP stays blank for all 4 tires tried multiple times still show blank pressure. Any Advice? What’s wrong? Where can I got to get this fixed?
I been looking for a video on this blank pressure myself I’ve reset it multiple times an waited months for it to reset and nothing yet, although it does show pressure on a snap on scanner
I heard that if they’re blank then the only way to fix it is to rotate your tires back to the original positions they were in before you had the tpms go blank. Otherwise you need an expensive autel to reregister them. Or techstream.
Been meaning to do this for a while on my GS. I always have at least one tire that reads 1 to 2 lbs off from the others even after topping off all 4 using the same gage IN THE SHADE. Crazy. One curiosity I have - why in HELL are your pressures so high? GS 350s only require 35 front, 36 rear. Well, at least for the AWD model. Why so high man? Your car must ride like a buckboard!
Thank you for the information. when pressing the reset button and you do not get the three slow flashes, what could be wrong? Is there a tpms switch that can be purchased that will plug into dash?
@@joecarpenter51 you should take it in to a shop and ask them to test your monitors. I did that and one of them was out and it was $65 to replace it. Works great after that!
Is this method works on 2017 RX 350? I paid the derlarship to change my tires to winter tires (I have two sets of rims). The only reason why I don't do it at home because I have no idea if I need a tool to reset the TPMS. Thank you.
It will only work for the current registered TPMS sensors. If you have a secondary set of wheels Like I do you will have to get the tool to tell the machine to read the new sensors every time you switch them. So when I put my summer wheels on I just ignore the flashing light till it goes away because I know when I put them on that the pressures were good. As for it working on your vehicle, I am unsure cuz I don't have one.
I noticed your light wasn’t on before you hit the reset, it didn’t come on until you hit it. Was that truly a reset. My light is already on and doesn’t respond when I touch it
I have and it's a little complicated of a process. You can't change all the fluid without a flush though. The pan drops down like normal and the filter is held in by I think 3 bolts. But to fill you need a transfer pump and it goes into the side of the case, then you warm it up to a certain temp range, then open the over flow and keep repeating that process. For tires I have stock size on my stock wheels and staggered size on my other wheels.
Driving with it is not an issue, it's just getting it to reset. I've now coming to an issue on mine where I can't get them to reset without going to the dealer. So this is a temporary fix for some situations.
Hey I have a problem where my monitor isn’t showing anything. I’ve tried resetting with the button over 2 weeks and it’s not showing any values anything else I can do ?
Oh dang they tryin charge lol but hey I had a question, I just bought my first car gs 350 2010 yesterday and I wanted to call Lexus to see if they can do a checkup on my car ( tire pressure , engine, filters etc ) do you think I should or should I hit up a local mechanic
@@senorbonbon I would recommend at least for the first time taking it to Lexus. That way they can check for any recalls, as well as any other items that need to done to the car. They may also have vehicle history in their database depending on the previous owners.
I also have a 2013 and the reset method above doesn't work. However two of my wheels have the original tires and sensors. The sensor batteries are 10 years old and maybe dead. Will put in new sensors when I get new tires soon. Until then I know how to use a tire pressure gauge like I've done for the last 50 years!

Like let ownership house ownership there is always maintenance to do and you should prepare before you buy so you don't waste your money.
Thank you 😊 it worked. Nice refresher of what I needed to do after a tire change 2 years ago. New follower 🎉
After many videos, finally found you ! Thanksss

Wow. Everything you just said I am currently experiencing. Thank you for making this very informative video.
Thank you. Saved me a trip to tire shop
The first clip that shows where the button is. Thanks
Thanks for this didnt know that button was there. My new wheels tpms wasnt reading. Also noticed your Apexi accel, love that thing, red mode all day!!

I can't remember, but it took I think 2 or 3 key cycles before it reset.
Did you manage to replace your TPMS?

That same button is on the passenger side too. What is that one for
Where is that button on a 2013 ES350 ? Shows tire pressure screen but NO numbers.

Mine isn't resetting. It just came on. Could it be the battery in the sensor that needs to be changed?
That I don't know

I will try changing the battery. Thanks!
What would u recommend if u wait months to reset a nothing changes ?
Probably see a dealer to do a reset
So you can drive on them after the reset and it will still initialize

Glad to hear
I pressed the reset button down there but the warning sign didn’t blink at all

do you know how to reset the tpms on a 2009 gs350, thank you
I don't, sorry
I don’t see any comments as to why you are running such high PSI? Are they really that high? Do you track your car or what’s up broooo
No I don't race it, that's not the PSI I regularly drive around on
by the way thank you for the info.
Thanks

Bro, thanks for the tip. I don't even think my Lexus dealership knows about the reset button. They tried to charge me $200 just to check TPMS.

47 psi in a car that specs at 33? Why
Because I went off the tire manufacturer's recommendations not the car manufacturer
