I use "Plasticote" spray on the carb rubbers, gives a perfect seal. It is simple to apply, very flexible and robust. Once applied it dries very quickly and gives a very neat finish, consider it when sealing your rubbers.

I can't get the dirty stinkin thing off of the cylinder head. Those bolts are so so froze on my older yamaha grizzly. Any recommendations on what to do to get it off?

Your going to have to submerge the bolt heads in a penatrant oil.
Build up a damn around the bolt head with clay or plasticine at least 8 inches past if you have the clearance and pour wd40 or mix of trans fluid and acetone 50/50 mix.
Let it sit for a week or two and than remove and try again.

      Hello friend.
I used the repaired rubber boots for about a year or 3000km before deciding to replace them with the new chinese ones i bought from ebay.
But there was no real.reason to replace them since in more than confident they could have lasted even longer, maybe even to pressent day now.
I did have a problem sealing where the bolt heads go. For theses areas i recomend using a little silicone when installing to help seal it. Other than that your repair, if done well should last you a couple years or longer, im sure.

I ended up inatalling new chinese made boots on it at the 1000km mark the following year.
But im more than confident this repair soloution would have lasted allot longer had i left it on the bike.

      Chinese boots are garbage quality

      @@crackedthieves totally agree.
The ones i bought are still holding up.
But its well understood chinese products are inferior to what the west used to make 30 years ago.
