I'm an artist, and I've always dreamed of creating my own game. I've made 3D models, developed lore, and designed characters, but learning Unreal, even with Blueprints, was too challenging. It requires so much knowledge, and tutorials are limited. So, for the past four years, I've been waiting for a more intuitive engine or AI to come along. I don’t have the energy to spend years learning code or Blueprints, it's too boring. I want to focus on creativity, not to struggle with simple game mechanics that have already been done countless times.
I stopped my amateur game development, when I saw what AI will be capable of 2 years back. I thought, no sense in learning something now, the machine will do later. This might be the moment to return to it.

Because Cursors created the app outside the "Src" carpet. The src carpet is where the app is located. So he moved them inside that carpet and erased the ones outside afterwards to make it work :) Greetings! Hope this helps!
@@ValenteCreativo I've learned so much from cursor and windsurf. It actually does now. But likely wouldn't have then. My suggestion for those as ignorant as myself was. Use windsurf and read the changes. Learn how it works and have it explain why. Reset chats often. I still prefer windsurf but that's probably because I'm stupid and just learning. Lol 😂
Yeah I’m yet to run into a good guidance video for beginners to code on how to use cursor. The creators seem to assume a certain baseline level of code knowledge. The reality is most newbies will be spending the majority of their time debugging - so teaching how to debug is critical.
@MatthewSchraderCG I found my primary issue. Try windsurf ai for free. It's basically exactly like cursor. But it seems to be more consistent and I figured out a lot of our problems are that we don't know when it's deleting something if it's an accident or necessary. But upon using them side by side. I've learned it was more cursors fault.

I got an error using both npx create-react-app flappy-bird and sudo create-react-app flappy-bird. What directory are we suppose to be in? I'm in the C:\Users\jami\.cursor-tutor>

Because you write code, you know the program did not put certain code where you wanted it, so you moved some around and positioned it where you wanted it. How does someone who knows zero about code know when something is in the wrong place?
AI still isn't that advanced yet. You'll have to learn at least the basics of coding in order to work properly with this tool. That being said, the tool also does explain what steps it took when generating code.

I have to say it is hard to follow. First, I am using windows 11, not mac. So, a good tutor needs to consider this case. Also, I used chat-gpt to solve several problems for the npx command issue. After all those steps, I asked chat-gpt what is the equivalent command of " command shift I" in windows 11, which is "ctrl shift I". Then I input the instructions, get those code generated. Then this video says you need to do all those copy or replace. This indicates this Cursor tool at this moment is not doing it should do. I do not have any experience on java or web app development. I do not know how to handle those code after this step. trying to hit the "Run" menu, then a lot more steps appear. Give up. I spent about 3 hours, not 10 minutes as the video title says.
You forgot to mention how to turn it into an actual app for download like to use in my phone?? Some of us a beginners for real bro. How do I use this as an app in my phone

Ask the AI why there's an error and to help troubleshoot. I had to download a Node.js file for NPX to work in general
