MS. Hussy, don't ever fear, you could NEVER be boring.
You honestly never bore me. Long videos don't bother me one bit.
I was there in the early 1980's. It's good to see the rocks I lined some of the trails are still there! Yay! I stayed in what you called the bachelor cabin. I was there 10 days and also used that outdoor shower. I packed in my food and welcomed another group that came the day before I left. We had a great evening visiting and I showed them around after breakfast before I left. We had fresh coffee and pancakes! Life Is good...
Your videos are NEVER boring! A show on TV lasts 30-60 minutes and your videos are MUCH better than the junk they air nowadays. Keep it up! Thanks!!
I love that place. Definitely one of my all time favorite hikes. I'm glad I was able to go there with my son. The trail in is starting to get washed out in some places. This camp, at 7550ft is actually the lower camp. The upper camp and the actual mine works are about 2 miles beyond at 9000ft. The trail to upper camp is very washed out, and a fire destroyed the cabins up there around 1987, I think. When it was operating, everything was brought up and down by burro. The owner of the mine built his own electrical plant, built a narrow gauge railroad to bring the ore to the main railroad, and even grew alfalfa on the farm below the canyon to feed the burros. Quite a remarkable operation.
Glad to see the old spark plug mining camp is still intact. I spent a few nights here with my family in the 1970's.
"Mining is everyone's future." As is preservation of clean water, the next priceless resource, as our numbers grow...
Thanks lovely Sarah, for bringing us to the wilderness vacation camp for all...❣
…back when Sarah thought long videos would bore us…lol…we live for this stuff!
Restores my faith too, I needed that today on my 65th Birthday. Thank you Sarah.
I never get tired of your youthful enthusiasm, yikes how did I get this old.🆒👍
This is one of the coolest places I've ever seen. It's so sweet that it's been kept so well maintained.
It is wonderful to see that the people that have visited respected the area and left it maybe a little bit better than when they came there......WOW!!! As you know so many just don't care and think......."someone will pick it up......clean it out.......etc" great place WH!!!!
Hi Wonder Hussy. I really enjoy hour Urbex explores of the Volunteer Cabins especially. So different from the other Urbex people. You truly explore places that I would like to visit, but would be difficult. I believe that there is another road up to the camps that people can run stuff up. Keep up the good work. I am definitely a fan. Bravo.
Wonderful video Sarah really enjoyed it, that was quite a hike getting there it's hard to imagine getting everything up there
Those volunteers did a great job fixing it up
I am so inspired by the way these people take their time to keep these cabins up for future generations. ❤🎉
What a nice place, beauty, serenity and proof that there are still responsible people in this world. A big thanks to the fabulous Hussy!
Out of all of wonderhussy videos this is the most epic site absolutely breathtaking always have respect for such sites and all this is the number one video and the Parliament cabin
nice to see people who like to share the good and are adults
That was the greatest place ever! Wonder why i never saw that one before. Thanks i think you should go back again and take more time in the museum.
If there's ever a Zombie Apocalypse, I want Wonder Hussy on my side! You'd know all the good places!
Hey girl! I think that this is one of the absolute neatest places, ever!!! Love your uploads! Sending lots of light, love & peace from one female explorer to another! ~Elisa, in MD 😊
Btw, don't fret about the length of your videos~ they could be like 2 hours long & I'd absolutely still watch!
Outstanding! Not just the beyond ,beautiful place but the thought behind what it stands for and your presentation of it all.You showed me something that I’d otherwise never known about.Much, deep appreciation 💝
If there more woman around like Sarah the world would be a better place great videos she make love her.
One of the best kept "not so secret" places at least on googie maps. Well visited inspite of beings hard to get to, need a
4X4 and/or a tough hike regardless. It has been visited by many who know where to go. Hopefully the road will get
improved a bit because of gravity, weather and mother nature doing the road in. A real "Champion" of a video Sarah!
I find it funny when she says "this wouldn't take much to fix this up", and then is amazed at the stuff that was hiked up to these cabins and wonders how they did it!
This restores my faith in humanity too. And so do you Miss Wonder Hussy
hi Wonder Hussy! hey dont worry about going too long on your videos. when they are this amazing, it is worth it! thanks, much love
The hard thing to believe is that it still exists, and that it has been preserved by the people alone. Thank you for fulfilling my need for adventure. The views out of those cabins are priceless, well done, please film again next time you go there O.K.? Doctor Hussy is on the case!
Binge watching your adventures! Fabulous places! Thank you!
DEF. ONE OF MY LIST PLACES TO VISIT! VERY KOOL! THANKS AGAIN.. ...HAPPY TRAILS...
That place is just way to Cool. I love that there are people that take care of it and respect it. Hell I would like to go there and stay and work on it to make it nicer. And just be at peace with the outdoors...
Wow lucky you to be able to visit this great Mining Camp ... Always great videos ... be safe !
That place would be so cool to go there with a group of friends for the weekend
"Thank you for life on earth." Indeed. Thank you for the adventures, WH! 🐴
Woah, what a view and what a place! I can't believe how good the conditions are in the cabins. I agree with you, it does restore one's faith in humanity. Really like your through explorations of the site and the contents of the cabins. Using first person shooting really puts me there - I'll never complain about the length of your vids, it's a pleasure. Ya know, even though I'll probably never visit this great site it does my heart, soul and mind good to know that it still is out there. Thanks!
Wait, you think we would be bored with a long video??? I bet not one of your subs would agree. Thank you for your videos, thank you for your stories, thank you for your showing all of us amazing places most of us will never go to. Awesome video
Would love to visit there.Beautiful scenery !
That's so cute and cozy. Made up bed, books, stove.
I think if I ever left Mass. i'd move to Colorado, so beautiful.
You are the ultimate frontier history hunter/Miss exploration U.S.A
WH, great video. What amazing people that did all that work so others could enjoy the experience. Would love to know more about the two people that did it. I'm surprised you didn't comment on the fact that they left reading glasses behind. I have never seen cabins so well stocked that were not businesses. It is hard to imagine how many trips it took to bring it all up. You've done some hard hikes; but, can you imagine bringing up all those tools and screws, nails and bolts are heavy in bulk.
Thank you for the video! Very wonderful!
Getting things there should be easy by helicopter. It just makes a drop. Easy Peesy! The remaining cabins look a whole lot better than they did in the late 1960's! I remember having to hike over 10 miles to get there! Sweet! I will put this on my bucket list. Gotta do it B4 my knee collapses!
What a great place! It's like something from another time, and a different culture?! Outstanding.
.....Like your smile..... Love your style.....!!
I love how you sling around the word fricking , Sound so fun !
I'd love to go up for a week ... do chores and just explore. Great place WH ... thanks for taking us along.
"Holy Cow" .... "Yikes" ......
Me and my wife Love your Videos!
That looks like a great place to camp and explore, thank you for sharing your adventures👍🏻🇺🇸
Nothing boring about this video: That place is amazing!!!
Maybe one of the best videos you have ever produced. Thumbs up.
Peace.
GREAT INTRO MUSIC!!!!!
So Nice!! Very Nice Cabins!!
This is so amazing, thanks so much for sharing. What a great legacy!
Don't change. I totally enjoy your explorations..
One of your best videos yet, maybe one day I'll get there. Apparently, at one time, a geocache was up there.
Love your videos. Love exploring via your videos. Haven't been out to the desert since 2020.
that " Mother in Laws " cabin is actually an old Powder Shack where they use to store Dynamite. The sorting equipment inside is where core samples where put by Newer mining companies.
That is incorrect. It was the ore samples building. The explosives storage is across the river in the mountainside.
That would be an amazing way to vacation! Bet the stars are amazing out there at night!
Great job! Very interesting and exciting!
You Have To Hike it!! Cool!!
Absolutely fantastic place.
yet another awesome video. you keep out doing yourself. thanks for sharing with us.
Another great adventure with the one and only "Wonder Hussy".....She's easy on the eyes, coupled with brains and personality.....Be safe Sarah Jane!
What a great place to still have standing and usable. Shows the past so well.most of the stuff was more than likely air lifted in with helicopters back during the war time.
GREAT vid:) And some Ballsy 4-Wheel driving..! Cheers to you W.H.
I think your great and it comes over in your videos you are a natural star!!
The little museum was very neato
Wow you definitely did not disappoint with this video the views are unbelievable. My bucket list gets bigger and bigger from watching your videos. Great job!!
14:20 Your videos are NEVER boring or too long.
Beautiful guide and beautiful scenery. It just doesn't get any better than that.😍😁
Very well done. . Great kob!
Nice find, would love to stay there. Great job at the four wheeling, hope you have not gotten stuck yet.
I would watch 3-4 hours of this vid! Love the content!
Love the historical illustration Wonderhuzzley, keep up the stellar work! Regards, Vundahussman.
Nice place, you hit the jackpot.
Holy Moley! Great video ! Huge effort over the years .
Wow! Very Nice!!
This is one of your best videos WH...30 minutes was way to short...Keep it up :)
Thats pretty amazing as a volunteer cabin.... its quite nice.... Doc
AWESOME BLOSSOM ⚘
I have Sqaw Tea growing wild on my property. It's also called, Mormon or cowboy tea. It helps a variety of ailments.
I love this area you're in.
Thanks for your many videos. I was wandering around Death Valley and west in the 1960's thru 1980's using pre 1960 topo maps for the old mines and buildings. Nice to relive some of the ventures and see many more that I didn't have a chance to get to. Thanks again.
Prince Albert cans was full of tobacco to put in pipe and smoke, as a child I remember my uncle smoking that tobacco.. Lot of good memories out on our farm... Love the video... thanks
A Major Automotive Spark Plug Company prospected and mined this Camp...they mined Sillimanite, which was a major ingredient to make the porcelain insulators for their spark plugs
In the ole days they would have used mules to carry the heavy stuff. The screened in area might have been where they kept cold stuff, like meat from hunting. Excellent video!!
This place looks amazing, thanks for sharing, nice video!
Very cool place. Thanks for bringing us along!
Thank you so much for your videos! I don't think they could ever be too long.
One of your best videos yet! thank you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your videos are absolutely addicting. I find myself waiting on the edge for your next video. Just look at all the hits each one gets, and it's only been out for a couple of days.
I've asked myself just what is it that Wonder Hussy has that intrigues us so, so much.
I continue to ponder - to come up with a fitting explanation.
Awesome video Wonder woman loved it, the Prince Albert tobacco was either rolled in rolling papers or smoked in Pipes ❤👍
The Jeffrey Mine, aka the Champion Spark Plug Mine, 1919-1945, mined Andalusite, a compound used in insulators of spark plugs, hence the name and big banner in the museum
When you have your opening shots to the video , you have the name of the camp on one of the cabins ! I am not going to say it but just letting you know ! CheersRosie !
AMAZING THANK YOU HUSS 😊 🙏
Wonderful video Sarah!!
Man that place is so cool. I loved every min of it. Thanks for exploring!
If the old paint can lid is a rockin', don't come a knockin' !
You should buy a PLB, it will save your life if you get stranded. ACR makes one for about $250
Thank you for your kind words regarding “The Champion Mine”. I was part of the group that spent hours upon hours helping restore the camp. I helped paint multiple cabins. The upper outhouse is pink because we had enough white paint for half the building and enough red for the other half as, well, shit happens and it ended up pink. My friends father welded several of the stoves and hiked them up. My friends mother made the curtains. The shower works (1990’s at least) great. Best view of any shower any ware. We also put in the water system. Reroofed the wood building with the metal sheets because the wood shingles were rotten and rain was getting in causing damage. The wood kitchen stove was oil but got converted to wood burning and works well. I’ve baked cakes in it. The back room was the cooler. The old dump is downhill from the shower about 100 yards and fun to poke around in. We’ve found lots of stuff for the museums in it. There is also one more building north of camp. It’s the wood house building. If anyone goes there be kind and keep it nice. Happy hiking.
You and your friends did an amazing job I can't believe you did all that work. It must have been very hard getting all the materials up there. I hope all that visit keep the camp pristine. What a beautiful place to vacation bless you and your friends. Watching this made me feel very happy that there are people like you out there. 😊
You be the best!!!
I can't believe how nice that camp is. Thank you! There's not very many good people like you guys. Wish i could go there an see the museum but I'm to old to make the hike.
Thanks, I carried a lot of stuff up there... last time I was there was 2018, funny thing is, not much has changed since the 90s... and yes.. so much pink paint...
