I have this same desk and mine just had the exact same issues with the ball bearings falling out! It's so odd because I don't really lean on it at all and seeing other comments from people saying they have the same desk as well leads me to wondering if it is a common issue for this desk. I'm completely useless with anything hands-on so I'm going to show this video to my dad and make him help me fix this-- thank you so much for your video! It’s crazy house this same desk brought us all together to your video , luckily my bearings didn’t come out, I’m going to try some grease on the rails, it’s been sliding unevenly for a while now so I figured that should help, thanks !👍🏽
thank you for this! i have this desk and i couldnt fix it before watching your video. i didnt know the little bumps were actually ball bearings and once i got them into the groove it was easy. i also had to bend the bars holding the tray inwards a little because they had bent outwards slightly
Thank you for the video! Because of this it gave me the idea i need to fix mine! My tray came off without any of the barrings balls dropping, so what i did was alined the bars and snapped the. Into place using pliers.
This video helped a bunch! The only problem I have now is I can't seem to pop the rail back into the slider. There's a piece of metal acting as a "catch" on the end of the rail that grabs the slider to stop it from all coming out, but it's stopping me from sliding the rail back in. The way you just pop it into place by sorta levering it in doesn't seem to work for me. Regardless, thanks for you video, it helped me get my head around how it's supposed to work, next step is finding a solution lol
I was looking for help online with fixing the sliders on and saw that you hold the sliding ball bearing bit and the other piece of slider should glide on to it when you insert it it into the slider section that’s attached to the desk.
Iseekoutthetruth yeah o finally fixed it I had to take it apart to snap the slider back into place but it looks like it's still not in place fully but it's working just can't lean on the keyboard lol
glad you made this video. I use this desk in my studio and added some spacers to fit my komplete kontrol s61 MKII keyboard and it came crashing down today, so I'm trying to figure out how to fix so it doesn't happen again.
I had to put spacers in mine for a Roland SH201. I have since sold that and now have a Keystep Pro and a Microfreak which crashed to the ground this morning. 😞
This is how mine broke. My desk is pressboard (I think) so both the desk and tray were the same so I took out the sliders and used 5-6 wood screws to screw the tray to the desk so it no longer slides but it's very strong. It's sad about the build quality of stuff today.
Lol my tray popped out and it happened like a year ago and I remembered this as you said you can't pop it in and I kinda tried to do that, I ended up getting a 1cm deep cut that went into muscle that left a scar and still has to this day.
I got this same exact desk and the issues with the keyboard tray led me to this video. Even though this is a useful video, I think it's proof that the table is 💩💩💩💩 but appreciate the video
I replaced my slides with stronger ones on amazon for $14 and they are height adjustable. Had to drill a new hole to mount, but I won't ever have this problem again.
😢 I just had same situation = kid shrieked and the entire side bracket(with nails and chunk of particle board) is separated. I'm thinking I'm Totally SOL. And going to have to get a whole new one. Sturdy and basically..excited gamer proof...if that exists
I have the same problemm I got the tray into the slider but if i pull it too far it will come out agai, so how do i lock it after an appropriate distance Please help me

I thought you were the solution! Alas, my keyboard drawer slides do not have ballbearings. I have gotten the drawer back onto the tracks - but not for long. And now I have the keyboard on top of the desk. Boohoo!
Things are flimsy as hell, haven't seen a sturdy one yet. I'm sure.. maybe 500 dollar desks or more, but I buy $100 dollar, maybe 130 max, they do the job, just don't lean on it. Haha. Good job though.

Iseekoutthetruth It’s a z-line desk Cyrus workstation. I have this desk too. I also have the same problem with keyboard rail. I called the company and I was being charged almost 60 bucks for the railing with shipping. Told myself it isn’t worth it for that price would just buy another one

mine didn't break that way but it kind of just had one side fall down. I have that exact same desk

for me both sides have all the required bearings but the left side tray kept being loose and sometimes faling but i fixed it
