ENGINE OIL is a lubricant used in ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM.ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM is a very important system of engine.Because is supplies LUBRICANT to different parts of engine for their LUBRICATION.In Engine LUBRICATION OIL or ENGINE OIL used as a LUBRICANT.There are three TYPES OF LUBRICANT-
SOLID LUBRICANT,SEMI SOLID LUBRICANT and LIQUID LUBRICANT.
ENGINE OIL is a liquid lubricant used in ENGINE.
ENGINE OIL or LUBRICANT should have some properties.Following are PROPERTIES OF ENGINE OIL-
VISCOSITY,POUR POINT,FLASH POINT,FIRE POINT,OILINESS, SPECIFIC GRAVITY, ADHESIVENESS, NEUTRALIZATION NUMBER,ANTI CORROSION etc.
In this video we will discuss above mentioned properties in detail.
Viscosity of Engine oil is represented by a number.This number is called VISCOSITY RATING.SOCIETY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERS(SAE) provided a scale to identify the viscosity of different oils.Viscosity of engine oil is represented by a number,this number is SAE number. Following are some examples of SAE rating: SAE 10W-30,SAE 20W-40, SAE 5W-30, SAE 0W-30 etc.

Wrong information. According to u, 5w30 viscosity is 5 at 0 degree f, & 30 at 100 degree f. Which is totally wrong information. Because oil is more viscous at low temperature. So what is correct information. Correct - 5w30 engine oil will behave as sae 5 oil at 0 degree, & will behave as sae 30 oil at 100 degree. But obviously it is more viscous at lower temperature. Most of the youtubers say this information wrong
