I don't wanna leave you, but darling I need to walk away" MOST special lyric of this song for me💞 I love how this particular lyric is still in the "cold/mess" zone ("I wish I could leave you my love, but my heart is a mess") but instead it feels like a natural extension of that song too! In "cold/mess", you're in denial that you'd have to leave your person cuz the situation is so toxic. In "Hopelessly", you ultimately make up your mind, and understand that you "need" to walk away despite your heart wanting to stay. It's a journey from denial to acceptance. I love how true Prateek is to his craft❤️
