Thanks for uploading these videos. I have a question which is somewhat related. I have a guy that works for me (it's a very small handyman type business) and I manage the business (I don't do any of the handyman work myself). Whenever there is a job, I pay him an amount that we agree upon. On some days, there are no jobs and he does not get paid for those days. I provide the material needed for the jobs. My understanding is that he is basically working for me as a 1099 "subcontractor" and not a W-2 "employee". Is that reasonable to assume? The other aspect of this is, if he was indeed declared as a W-2 employee, then does that mean he needs to have a fixed schedule and paid according to that schedule? Or can W-2 employees be paid only for those days when they actually worked (which may not be some fixed days of the week)? Thank you.

Does Gusto automatically file quarterly and annual reports on wages? It looks like with QuickBooks it has to be done manually...
Yes! Gusto handles all of that for you. They are great about that.
Are you paying for your quarterly taxes for your business through payroll through the gusto . So each payroll I will pay estimated business taxes and employees taxes.
