I used this drum track with my bass player last night in Cork city and there was a very happy drunk dancing wildy for 1 hour to it. All the tourists were stopping and taking photos. It was like a big rediculous Irish tourist attraction. Thanks for the track. Its awesome.

As a guitar player barely scratching the surface of a 'passable' beat, I have nothing but the highest regard for such flowing, natural feel to your overall playing & the 'transitions' in particular. I'm sure I'm not using the proper terminology, but as I said, being a self-taught wanna-be drummer, it feels like I'll never be able to achieve this level of invisible silkiness, the true, pure backbeat.

Always come back to this video for a guitar warm up. Just sit around banging different patterns on an E9, always notice the difference if i do it during the day before a gig.
Ahhh that's absolutely fantastic, man. I think that's the beauty of jamming or warming up to drum loops. You can get yourself into this zone where you start feeling this freedom to just mess around the neck and before you know it you become very comfortable with different ideas and approaches. @@superdupes987 Exactly! It feels totally different when jamming to a metronome or a drum loop. I think a metronome is an excellent tool to practice maintaining focus and precision, but a drum loop feels much more organic and kinda makes you feel like you're jamming with another musician and it allows you to play around with different ideas and just let loose. That happens to me too! Sometimes I jam along to a 20 minute loop, get really deep into the groove and it ends! After which felt like 5 minutes! haha. There's always the replay button though ;)

Good for warm ups and it helps me be able to keep the rhythm going properly, this helps a lot!

This week I created a new book for learning to read music and I will test it out with my students. I want to show other teachers around the world how I teach music and your drum set beats are a vital part of that!
