You care about the character and get to know her background without belabouring it but by working it into the plot line. Terrific!! A well thought out ending which is a surprise right up to the end. This film borders between truth and fiction and if people believe that there is a GOD then they should also believe there is a "EVIL".
This was good. Surprisingly good! Very well crafted and acted. Fine direction, cinematography, editing and sound -- a special kudos to the sound team! One of those relatively rare films that exercises a great deal of restraint and doesn't go for all the quickie, vulgar, gross and dime-a-dozen cheap scares. In other words, the makers knew what they were doing, had faith in what they were doing, showed respect for the audience, and were bound and determined to create a classy product. You succeeded! Thanks!
Unfortunately, Samantha never stood a chance. She was too hopelessly lost in her grieving state to fight the entity. It was so ironic that her best friend was about the only person who could have helped in that particular situation, but she refused to listen to Maya's advice and to wait on her to arrive and help in the end. Also, ridiculously ironic, was her complete disbelief in the spirit world coupled with her job as a psychic. Not overall a bad movie, I guess I'm more annoyed with the foolishness of her character throughout the whole movie, and knowing she could have saved herself had she just been able to open her mind to the truth in a much earlier stage of events.

I was hoping they'd have some backstory. Maybe Stephen met the poltergeist on one of his adventures, brought it back and couldn't get rid of it. At which point either he sacrificed himself but failed because it moved onto Lee, or the poltergeist forced Stephen into the tree to kill him and kept on going on his killing spree. It was really well done up until the ending so I'm sad they didn't work with it more. I'm just guessing lack of funds to do more than they did here. Still enjoyed it a lot :D.

FYI: elim the adds for $11.99 a month. With all the variety they offer, I found it well worth it. I signed up for a 3 month free trial first, which has been a blessed change from constant ads. YT costs no more than Netflix, and is actually better, imho.

eazy remedy...tried and true...become crazier than the ghost and crank up some acid rock and roll every day and head bang. The ghost will either shut up or leave.......also wanted to say that, I don't video chat ever, so, the over usage of this type of modernized communication is bugging me...not to say that it's bad, just saying that it would be more comforting if my friend was physically there and not hung up on the whole social media thing during a scary and severely unknown time.... situation also calls for not being all alone in such an overwhelmingly large home.....duh, especially someone that young....don't get me wrong though.
