What this means is this award is subjective and numbers don’t matter as every conceivable metric shows Brunson was better this month aside from rebounds. And you’re wrong the cavs in Jan were 10-2 and the Knicks were 14-2 so thanks for making that case for me….

That's bullshit, it's should have been Brunson that was named Eastern Conference Player of the Month, not Mitchell. Jalen Brunson has owned Donovan Mitchell twice in the playoffs the last two years. Knicks currently have an 8 game winning streak and are in 3rd in the East.

Mitchell is better than brunson. A playoff series (where Brunson never defended Mitchell because he absolutely cant) doesnt change that…. If Brunson was hounded by DFS and Josh Hart it would be much easier than scoring on Conley, Garland, and Osman lmfao….. Mitchell is a better defender than brunson while being essentially the same level passer and a better scorer. The cavs have won just as many games in their last 15 as New York…. The difference is the Knicks are fully healthy and the addition of OG Anunoby making them the best defense in the league are why they are playing so well, meanwhile the cavs have been without Garland and Mobley, their 2nd and 3rd best players.
They are one game apart, Cavs are fourth in the East. Mitchell is averaging more points and rebounds than Brunson. Cavs, like I said, are half a game behind the Knicks, and Don is carrying them. Brunson has Randle, Hart, DiVincenzo, amongst others. Also I can't understand for the life of me why a playoff series two years ago has any relevance on this January's Player of the Month.
